I suggest Vortex though. :D Etheral that is. Vortex shield provide the most defense that pally shield can get. (strongest point of exile)

Also max resist on pally shields is 45

if a guild shield have 4s 231/33 resist is it worth to use it?

if i can buy it for 2um , should i buy it?

is no shield good for you?

if u can't tell im totally against the use of exile on any pala.

other suggestions,

1. SS
2. HoZ
3. Alma Negra
4. Good Rare

depends on what pala varient u make.

i prefer the constant smite damage of a zakarum shield (46-46) over the high range of a vortex shield (5-85)

Visually, Zakarum > all. vortex shields look so lame. i mean sure, you'll be putting on holyshield, but i dunno, Zakarum wins style points.

I like vortex but really, any elite pally shield with 4 sockets and high resists is good.

Agreed.
It also depends on what you're looking for in your pally shield:
For me, Zakarum wins in style points.
Vortex wins in defence.
Sacred targe wins in blocking though, at 60% (vortex = 51%)

They're all pretty much the same though, just use whatever you can get.

Why is a zaka better than a kurast? Kurast sheilds have a bit lower req. and a bit better blocking rate.
