with a hammerdin, what act merc would i want??

actually, if Act 3 is what you're set on, they're better from Normal. They end up with more STR, more DEX, better resists and their spells fire at 2 levels higher (according to the Amazon Basin).

Act 2 defensive, if you want him and you to survive more often. Works best with enigma so he can always be next to you. Mind, this merc should be bought in normal for best results in str/dex/life. You want more defense, less chance to be hit n all..

most people prefer the holy freeze merc, for crowd control duties, to slow your mobbing enemies down.

if you like holy freeze, and are wealthy enough to have a doom poleaxe for your merc to use, then might or defiance mercs become awesome options with dual auras. my barb has a might/doomer, and my pally has a defiance/doomer (ok, actually, i move the same eth doom cryptic axe from merc to merc heh :thumbsup: )
