Hydra Sorcs Owning?!

Yesterday I made a friend w/ a lvl 91 hydra sorc... :D and she was actually a girl! Never met a girl on D2 b4...

W/ mh (shame on me) I saw her gear, none too godly. Shako, Eschuta, Viper, 1bo CTA, etc. etc w/ varying stats of lvl / die fire facets. She just told me that her hydra / fball / fbolt / fmastery / almost meteor. She broke 120 fcr bp, but I guess part of having a super fast computer helps a lot too.

Well anyway she was pimping out the entire 8 player hell game w/ hydras. She was using hydra w/ some fbolt(not ball). There were couple hammerdins, a trapsin, a summoner, myself (switching btween blizz and lightning sorc), and a wind druid. She was really skilled in setting hydras, I don't know how she does but it's like hydras would spring up exactly around where her enemies would tele to... We all suspected of aa but she wasn't casting "on" them she was casting around them. We were all amazed how skilled at hydras she were, and she told me that this was like her 10th hydra sorc since classic D2.

This really changed my point of view upon hydra sorcs, and the player's controls are really what it matters the most, not which skills they use.

P.S. for those of you who are wondering how a hydra sorc would beat summoners - she actually used meteor a lot! I think she had most trouble with the nec but she still killed him... Btw I found out that the speed of fbolt is a great thing to scare your enemies right into a hydra. :buddies:

Btw I found out that the speed of fbolt is a great thing to scare your enemies right into a hydra. :buddies:

some hydra sorcs use telekinesis to push others right in to the hydra :lol:

Firebolt gets simliar damage to fb when synergies are maxed and it goes faster. I've dueled a few firebolt sorcs and they are deadly. If the other guy minion stacks they can just switch to fireball for equal damage.

If the hydra sorc was owning the room, than the other people in the room were not all that good. A bit of max fire res(spurs, infernostrides, nokazon) will make hydras do minimal dmg. In addition to being ignoreable, they are very easy to dodge just like fbs are. Keep running and they will almost never hit you. I've met a few hydra sorcs and only one of them could even break cyclone before the duel was over. You can take just about any build and kill a full dueling game on bnet, because most people aren't rich enough to compete, or just don't know how to duel with their char.

I once saw a kicker take out 5 other duelers one after the other. :(

Everyone in the room sucked, if I saw a hydra sorc kill anything I'd cry. I've literally had fire sorcs using hydra with 4-5 on my corpse I run in grab corpse and don't even get hit they fire so slowly.

Maphack is bad you shouldn't use it.

I dunno. I seriously wouldn't mind auto-squelch. Its just a feature that Should be in the game. Kind of like how there should be a way to power level your char and skip quests and stuff for people who just want to duel. Since there isn't we just rush and do baal runs :(.

Maphack is good because you can scan people before the duel and put on appropriate absorb to counter them.

If you need to stack on absorb, its your mistake in the char's build, and definitely not something to use absorb for.

I'd LOVE to duel one of these, you can leave an account name realm ladder or not, I'm sure even if they are on a different realm someone on here can duel them.

Come on mh. Thats just being lazy. It takes like a min in keep to find baal if u know what u are doing. And blizzard didnt put mh as a feature in the game for a reason. It comes done to the fact that mh is a cheat and any one who uses it, especially before duels, is a cheater.

Yep, people who need maphack to win, dont deserve to win at all. And it's surprising how often they dont win. I mean, if you cant handle a duel without maphack, chances are you're not gonna have a huge hand up knowing whats coming, you will just have a better idea what just killed you.

Like it or not, unless Blizz fixes MH, it will be here to stay. So you got to know whether they use MH or not and anticipate how they would use it. As for finding what kind of sorc or whatever they are, just stand outside of town and let them try to hit you. Unless they are using invisible attacks through desynch, you don't even need MH to know what you are up against.

As for girls on bnet, my own gf plays on bnet albeit broodwar. She can take on good players even when they 3 vs 1 her (3 vs 1 cause her "partner" backstabbed her too and this actually happens often). :worship: Aren't I lucky? People tend to underestimate alot of builds of characters. My PvP pure light sorceress can take out FoHers, WWsins, Amazons, Bone Necros easily. Wind Druids are another thing ;). All classes are good in their own way when facing another. Some classes can easily take out others, thats the way blizzard made the game. The only unbalance right now is some of the power of characters skills which needs to be set right.

So onto the point...

No.... when blizzard made the game they were thinking about the pvm aspect of the game plain and simple. Bnets idea of pvp balance is add in some random penaltys.

lmao I was ****ing around with my sad attempt at a fire/orb rusher and this nub nec puts on massive fire absorb and I orb him to death in 2 hits, probably funniest thing I've ever seen. All I had was like just some simple sorc gear no charms or anything.

actually there is a kind of a squelch hack.... Its a thirdparty program... It doesnt squelch by itself, but u put the names u want to squelch into the .txt file and they are squelched forever.... Should be standard on b.net...

I've seen the same scenario (a hydra sorc owning). As i recall, the sorc used of couse hydras, but she also used a widowmaker and enchant. She laid hydras and then shot arrows and they guided the other people (duh) and then they would accidentally run into the hydras or get pounded by the enchanted guided arrows. This is what i saw.
