I was in a Public game just now dueling 2 characters, a dragon flightsin and a wind druid. Now the wind druid is teleporting around like crazy with his engima and hoto and all the smeagle while i was killing his assassin friend in 2 hits with my bear fireclaws druid. So i asked the druid if he traded for the runes for the engima or found em himself, naturally he "inhereited it" from a friend. I told him that the runes were most likely duped due to the massive amount of duping going on at bnet. To make a long story short he calls me a noob for finding my own junk and not trading for high runes. FURTHERMORE he calls me a n00b cause I only do 6,000 damage at the 6 FPA breakpoint (working to get it to the 7 FPA breakpoint, just need highlords and im good). I cant stand these idiot players who buy their items off ebay or dupe em or use bots. We need to kick em off realms and send em to open!

people like you are the worst, you complain about people who have better items than you because it is clear they must have ebayed and hacked to get them. it is of course impossible to rush for forge or trade for profit. the % of people on bnet who CAN dupe is so small using that as an excuse is just pathetic ebayers have 0 skill and are easily noticed (if they want to spend their money who cares) and boting is just mfers on crack LOOK I FOUND SS I OWN ALL! 99% of items won't get you more than a rune or 2 ladder or non and you hardly ever find them anyway.

you're either very naive or just ignorant if you are to believe that a runeword that contains 2 out of the 5 hardest to get runes is as common as it is. The simple fact is someone who "inhereits" argueably the best item in the game that theres a 99.999% chance its duped. Also, you probably haven't noticed the excessive amount of hacking going on in d2. Do a little google search for diablo 2 hacks. there are a LOT out there! The fact is anyone and their dog can get a hack or duping program if they want to.

hack (aa and maphack) yes duping program no, i'm sorry but "99.999%" of the duping programs have trojans don't work or both. go try to download one i can guarentee you it won't work.

trading is part of the game just because people dupe isn't a reason to NOT trade. i've yet to see a rich person who find their own gear because all of bnet is corrupt! it's part of the game, it's part of all games, people CAN and WILL hack you can't stop it, bnet can't stop it, i can't stop it.

quite simply because right now my gear is too far stretched between my exprimental builds and all of my friends characters (I like 3 other peoples characters as well as my own). Plus when I go PvM, its nice to have some nonfire damage against those all too common fire immunes.

Im sure there were many veterens who fell to the dark side and bought items to get better. Im also sure that once a noob ebays items, he/she get used to the items, therefore makin him/her better with them. SO to say that just because they are good with the items dont make them innocent of not ebaying.

Then there are people who are lucky beyond belief, like my friend, who found a gul rune while rushing me and then found a vex rune shortly after i left. It is these types of ppl i hate... the lucky ones who get all the goodies and none of the bad stuff. :grrr: . My Hell forge usually drops under lem rune (I had one mal rune and like 4 hel runes :rant: ). His forge drops like Um+ at least

Considering you're working to hit at a slower speed, you're waiting for OIAS to achieve that when you use fireclaws and therefore should be able to achieve 4 frames cheaply and easily because you don't have to worry about physical damage much, and you're only doing 6K damage with fireclaws...

I was botting like mad in 1.09 and could easily get enough items to trade for 3/20/20's eventually getting what I needed, but No it's either "duper" (lol I wish would have made everything easier) Or "ebay" which was funny considering I don't have a credit card. Have you played 1.09 US EAST? It was full of bugged items. Some I remember were:

4 socket valors
6 socket WFs
4 socket Stormshields
con rings
occy rings

many many others, dueling was much more fun back then

These items were of course destroyed when 1.10 hit, only few remain like bugged tal armor (pic posted in other thread), 70 mana/15 life small charms and some more I dont remember.

Silly newbies calling 'dupe' or 'ebay', since you clearly gained wealth by botting. Which is, offcourse, a much more honest way of accumulating items with which you could trade for bugged ones.

The Constricting Ring isn't a bugged item. It's a perfectly legit Blizzard's item that was activated in the 1.08.

Very few Constricting Rings have dropped in 1.08, and since the patch didn't last very long until 1.09 came out, there shouldn't have been a lot around. But the duppers were lurking in the dark :cheesy:.

So, Constricting Rings were heavily dupped and a lot of them could be found in 1.09 (remember they were deactivate in 1.09 because Blizzard finally realized they were clearly overpowered :lol: ).

Finally, some times later came the "Rust Storm" operation, where the majority of dupes and 1.08 items was deleted. But remember the Constricting Ring is (or was...) a legit item. A Blizzard item.

Completely untrue. Blizzard themselves said con rings NEVER DROPPED ON B.NET Here is a little story regarding this issue.

Diablo: LoD was about to be released. Blizzard have introduced an incredibly overpowered ring known as "Constricting Ring". Fortunatly, realizing how stupid the thing was they took it out of 1.08 item droptables (the version that immediatly updated version 1.07, once you logged in on Bnet - 1.07 version the patch you COULD find con ring never actually made to B.net). However they didn't completly eliminate it - constricting ring still existed within game's code.

Later on hackers found an exploit which allowed access with open chars to closed realm. Re-activation of con ring (along with mutation of its original stats such as replacing Drain Life with Replenish Life, later on new con rings came with +2 skills as well) and import to closed was one of the things that was done (of course we all know bvalors, bstrings, ethereal bows, hex charms etc).

Many people claim to have found legit con rings. It is IMPOSSIBLE and they are liers. The ring never dropped in 1.08 as it was blocked out of drop tables and the only version of the game (1.07) where it COULD drop never made it to the realms.

The only way to aquite a legit con ring was to play SP of unupdated 1.07 LoD and find it.


So while I agree with you that ORIGINALLY the con ring is legit item (it even showed it in arreat's summit) and blizzard's idea. However they could never drop on realm and people who claim to have found them are LIERS. They used plain old con ring that was reactivated on open, mutated and imported to closed (that is why no con ring EVER had blizzard's original stats listed on arreat's summit).

I personally cant stand those idiot players that when anyone got better items than them and they running around saying " you ebay this...ebay that"..... it is really stupid, if you dont know how to trade for better items, just dont be jealous of those who are smart enough to get a good trading deal. Let face it if you rant about duped runes in public, it is just like ranting about using enigma or other runeword in a pubby duel (since enigma is made up by 2 high rune), which is very silly. I believe that if you dont like the 1.10 runewords in a duel (which is fine), dont use it yourself BUT stop crying when you got killed by a person who use them. :rant:

There is an art to trading man you have to work at it but I have never ebayed or botted at all and I have all the godly stuff.

A guy said once 99% of enigma users are using dupe rune,well...I dont believe that anymore 'couse I just found a ber on a Meph mf ^^ I am so happy.And btw a friend of mine found a jah rune on Pindle run like a week ago.So yes, these runes are rare but if u play the game eventually u'll find them.
