West Ladder Assassin Tournament
Entry fee is an Um rune, winner takes the pot (all runes will be held by a trusted person).
Duels will be in NM Blood Moore
Duels are best out of 3 (final will be best out of 7)
Leaving Blood Moore = a loss
No Wells, Shrines, Pots (Mana pots ARE allowed)
No Absorb (1 raven allowed for cbf)
Max res Limit of 80% per element
No Mercs (Shadows are allowed)
Items with charges can be used, but the charges can not.
No aa, scrolling
Judges descision is final
If you would like to sign up please post your acc, char name and type of sin. Date and time for the tourny will be posted once finalised.
You can also join channel Op SinPK for updates and manner sin vs sin duels.

Any chance of allowing one absorb item per element?
Also, how are you going to call the game if both char simplely camp in respective corners surrounded by traps?

You realize, a full powered trapsin will Waste any assn who isn't also a trapper with those rules. Might as well call it a trapsin tournament, because I can just about guarentee the ww sin is screwed. Only really viable way to get 80 res is with a Lo rune, which is a lot to bother with for one tournament when you can just use tgods everywhere else. Even CH allows tgods...

80 resist has no chance. thats still 150 (average 3xx max) damage per trap with only 10k trap. since all other sins are pretty much melee they have no chance.

that's why I'm calling for allowing 1 absorb item...
cause otherwise it'll be a really cheap tournament

yep it sucks not that pure trappers should even be made if they are going to complain
We're looking at changes to the absorb rules. Do you still want to be dueling in NM if we allow absorb, or in Hell ?

If you allow 1 absorb, I can duel in nm or hell, but prefer hell.
I'm not asking for stacking absorb... just something like Tgods that I use normally for str anyway.
Most people build for hell anyways, and its not the amount of resist needed thats the problem. Traps just do too much damage with no absorb and only 80 resist to melee chars. A dual wield barb might be able to pull off a win with 80 res, but ww sins don't have 7k life or the huge damage.

any news on the tournament?
I really have a problem with the 80% res all cap... even more unfair to a kicker than a whirlwind assassin. If that weren't there, I'd be tempted to participate, but with it in place I'd have a better PvP experience selling an Um to Charsi. ;)
IMO it seems that the organisers want to win the tourny cos they're both trapsins
Not at all, just wanted to get some competition going as ladder is pretty stale.
1 item of absorb is now allowed
Please post what you want the rules to be on the following:-
#1) Max resist cap
#2) Duel in NM or Hell

I vote for:
1. duel in hell
2. no absorb cap, 1 resist item.
but I also want to knwo if there's any rules agaist camping... cause the most effective strategy for a trapper is to surround herself with traps and then wait for an opponent before acting.
camping trappers are the easiest to kill.
Both absorb and max res have to have some limit or you'll have players with 95all res 1 absorb every element = no dmg
or some nub wearing 2 wisps, lightsabre, risingsun, hotspur etc etc
Duels will be in hell

85% max res

50 ladder high runes should fix that though. ;)

I guess I can live with those rules, though I'll need new armor. :lol:
