Well, when it comes to D2 that is. And perhaps you've had better days, but I sure as hell havn't.

It all started when my Hammerdin got to Level 90. Nice! My first Guardian is my my first lvl 90 and its only my fourth character! Then, as I went to sell stuff for gold to merchants, an SOJ count popped up. It was like 3am (I sleep during the day during weekdays) so I was thinking 'Hey, why not just stay, I still haven't hit ant of the 85 areas except for BigD. I do Pits, Catacombs, Mauseluem and nothing good (though there were a few rare Shakos :rant: )

Then I head up to the Pits. I go through and I get no rares , uniques, or sets. Then I come to the uber chest. I hit it, and nothing catches my eye. So i pick up all the gold, and when I pick up the last piece, Something pops into the item list that I didn't see before:

:surprise: Yay! Now I was faced with a dilemna, buy some gear for my upcoming sorc, or save up and trade all the runes I have to make a HotO. I decide to make the HotO if I can get enough runes to up. This was very dependant on DClone popping. I go off to school while staying in the game with the Act 5 Stash trick. When i get home I see this:

:surprise: Wow, I'm on a roll. DClone falls at the hands of my Pally for the fourth time, my third Anni. a 14/14/5. I trade that for an Shako here on the forums and then for an Ist on the realms. Then, 4 Puls, 2 Ums, 2 Mals, later:

Wow, a HotO. And the best part is that each of the runes used to make it were self-found / self-cubed. Also, that's a self found Flail too. Oh happy days!

Stand at the platform above the stash in act5 and face the left. Click on the stash and you will walk towards the stash, but get stuck in a little wedge having a little seizure. This will allow you to go and do what you want while the game thinks your still there.

I'm still new to this diablo stuff again have not played in two years but it's still a great game. I do know that you had some really good luck and that's really cool.

I saw that stone of jordans thing sold to merchants before too once in a game and was wondering what that means? I tried checking the merchants to see if stones of jordan were on the vendors heh.

What are diablo clones where are they and how do you find them?

Diablo clone.... he bad. i hope i get this right he has: 95% all resist and like 95% physical immunity or something. he does MASSIVE damage and has all diablos attack including a few new ones IIRC. when you kill him he drops u the anni. (cant spell the full name) charm it has: +1 skills/ 10-20 all resists/ 10-20 to all attributes/ 5-10% more xp. now the soj counter is soposed to be linked to getting him to spawn. you have to get on a "hot" server and wait for people to sell there (almost always) duped sojs. when you sell an soj the soj is gone but the chances for DC go up. DC will spawn from any super-unique monster after you see "Diablo Walks The Earth" . ok i think thats pretty close to what really happens. for anyone who knows more correct me plz! :lol: :drool:

Diablo clone is a monster that appears when 80-200 SOJs have been sold in a specific server. that 5xxx is the current count of SOJs that have been sold in that server since 1.10. The current count minus the count the last time diablo clone appeared is how many SOJs have been sold since the last walk. When the Diablo Walks the Earth Appears, that means that the Diablo Clone becomes the nearest Super Unique. He only appears in Hell and is the hardest monster in the game. If you see stones sold in a hell game it's best to stay in the game for a while, an easy way is with the stash trick that's explained above. There's softies who all find the same server and sells sojs which eventually cause Diablo to pop in every game hosted on that server. Whenever you join a game you enter a different server, I believe they run from 1-200.

The way to check your server is to go into the command prompt: run->command-> type this: netstat -n

The diablo server you're on is the ip that ends in .4000. The server you're currently on is the number just before it.

In terms of best days in Diablo this season...it'd have to be the 3 days when I found fathom, 2x ss's and 2x shako's. From those items I eventually got a 365% breath of the dying CB...I know it's low but I got a deal and I know it! Now I have call to arms, heart of the oak and breath of the dying...now I just need enigma and chains of honor and I'm as leet as a duper or botter!

Yeah, I was faced with that HotO decision, I was one IST away from it..then rather traded my GUL for Viper/Wiz/Anni/...and more stuff to gíve my so far very untwinked character a chance in hell :)

I have not regretted it...maybe I still get a chance at HotO this ladder :)

hmmm...reminds me of last ladder season....i thought i was a beast with my 38% hoto...until i made my second one.....(40%!) then again, i played an unhealthy amount of time last season and became uber godly within a few short months. now a days i play more laid back (and alot less) and still have had just as much fun this season as last....although nothing can compare to that first season....item wise. anyways.....congrats on ur luck!!! :thumbsup:

A HotO is a HotO, no matter how you slice it. Also, here's another story about how I just obtained my second Gul :D

A few weeks ago, this Sorc enters my game called Occy here. She asks for some help doing her NM forge and I agreed to help. She said if Um dropped, she'd give me for my Occy. Well, the forge comes out to be a Sol. She asks me if I have any low costing Sorc gear. I drop Peasant Crown on the floor and she thanks me 'til sun came up.

Well, yesterday I get a whisper from her asking for some help in A3 Hell. I join her game and help her with Trav and Meph. Then she says that she wants me to have her forge. I don't mind having it, so we work our way up to Hephasto. After killing him, she goes to smash the stone and walks away from it. I hold alt to see what drops, and amazingly Gul Rune dropped. I told her to take it, I couldn't take something like that. She insists that i take it, so I finally do. I couldn't just take it, so I gave her some Sorc gear; Wiz, WWalks, Up'd Goldwrap, BlackOak, Viper, Nagel, and Flamebellow + Dury Shell for her Merc. Karma is a beautiful thing. :winner:

Now I just gotta get my hands on Tals Armor before prices reach Vex.

2 GUL's + Normal Ruby = VEX. Which is part of the HOTO runeword.


I also have a HOTO... and it's a grand 31 rez.
