Morning misfits,
While yall all were still sleeping early this morning (EST), I was awake and pounding on mephisto before work. Out of 20 runs, he gave me: 2 Thundergods, 1 Shako, 1 Tarnhelm (crap %), 1 Crown of thieves (didn't ID yet), and 1 shaft stop (197%). Plus at least every piece of sigons.....twice.

Yes in hell.....thnx to a little bit of advice from turnips aka matt, and a new and improved merc......meph is a walk in the park. He's, so far, even been easily rolled over in a 4 person game. I've yet to get in a game with more ppl to try that.

Well, was having a great day starting new chars with Mark, Mike and Rac (who joined in a lil later) WE had our chars up in to the 20's...

Mike had to leave, leaving Rac, Mark and I to do some of act 4.......All was going good until I poped a seal that killed Mark :( Am soooo sry bro, I thought u guys said to pop it...I feel like sht now!! I will do what ever I can to help u rebuild as quick as possible....jsut let me know when and what gear you need.....

When I made my MF sorc.....I had this grand idea about about an act 5 merc all tricked out using a CCB......well.....he died EVERY single run. Matt (Turnips) told me to go back to my normal Holly freeze merc and then supplied me a kelpie snare to put on him (I never realized how great this weapon was). After leveling him up......he maybe dies once in about 30 runs and will stand toe to toe with meph the whole time. He uses kiara's helm, 1% away from perfect, ETH courpseman (def 1777, had eth rare on him 1300 def) and a none upped kelpie. My sorc is all Orb/meteor and merc can kill countess alone. I only have 470 something in mf on switch. Oh...and I don't use the moat trick.

Back from the hospital! Didn't sleep for sh*t, wires pasted all over my head & body & some guy watching me sleep. Just finished watching my beloved Lions WIN against Atalanta. My boy Roy Williams got hurt but they still pulled it off. Who woulda thunk it, the Lions at the top of their division after 5 weeks?
Got my Zon up to Lvl 20, got my cube, ready to RUN.
Must do some quick yard work, then...

lol you had the same idea i did :) except mine was going to use azure for later on...right now its going to be quest drop. The barb merc im going to lvl from norm for better stats though... i might go HF untill i decide to stop doing quest. :S so confused lol

Using azurath was also my idea as well, although I never found 1.....also...I did level my merc up from normal....and he still stunk to dead hell.

The 63%FCR breakpoint is fine...I don't see any real need to have crazy FHR cuz with that cast rate you shouldn't get hit. If you do your max block should cover until you can tele out or react by juv or exiting.

I'd been trying to find a dclone server and got realm down in the process...during that time I did find arreats from andy b4 the stupid r/d.

I'm still stuck on gear for my meteorb sorc.(currently lvl36 woot!) I can't decide whether I should go all-out super godly unique stuff like hoto +2valor stormshield shako arachnid's etc. or go the cheaper full tal's direction. I figure I'll go full tal's but I'm still reluctant for some reason...maybe it's because I still don't have a wisp projector for lit absorb. Considering I'm going without eshield I think at least 15% lit absorb along with max res will be necessary for fighting gloams in hell. I guess we'll see how she turns out, I just hate rebuilding after spending a lot of time lvling a char that's useless! Tal's is nice though with its sweet MF bonus and stuff.

The AFC east now has 2 of the 3 undefeated teams, but also has the only 2 winless teams

School team won 55-14..... the score was 14-7 at the half (what happened there? :scratch: )

I have been trying to mf in Hell but I am finding alot of Light Immunes everywhere I go. (Crypt/Anc Tunnels/Pit/ etc...) Anywhere a trapper can mf a lil easier but still have a good chance on mf??

I got a wisp...16%lit/14%MF. Relatively cheap too... 6%LL/192%ed arreats and UM. Now I've just gotta level my sorc to 71 for full tal's and work out some str bug issues and she'll be solo baal'ing and finding me godlies daily!

Can't play tonight, must get up early (6am, for Kat, an ungodly hour) to take poor ol' mother to hospital. Crazy old woman never wore a hat in her life, now she has skin cancer on top of her head. She bought a really ugly hat. Too little, too late, too ugly. Maybe I should give her a Blackhorns for the light(ning) resist. Hehehe. If I get back early, maybe I can find someone to play with? I been meaning to ask, does anyone have some good physical damage rings around? I'd like a nice rare with some combo of dex/AR/mana leech. I been playing all physical guys lately and using up all my good rings. I got one good raven, it's that other slot that's giving me grief. Perhaps I can swap a caster rare with someone?

pind/eld is the fastest last time i checked. i dont think you'd get r/d just doing them two, because the pindle part actually takes time if you do the garden. almost zero chance of death, and some goodies to boot, if you happen to like 2435690824376 runs. i got 30% fathom, ist, mal, wisp, and a few mid lvls in a lil under 2k runs. the fathom from pind himself, the runes from the guys outside.

Kat, I would love to run with you. Got a Lvl 25 future Blizz Sorc and a future Fury Druid at Lvl 15 climbing fast (Khalim's Will Pwns!!). If you don't have my accounts on your F list let me know.

Lou I'm just fine and I hope you learned a valuable lesson from this. I know I did. From now on I'm going to make sure you're in front. :lol:

On a more serious note this event focuses on a problem I have seen in team play since I have gotten back. Since you aren't allowed any mistakes in HC it is critical that everyone be aware of where their party members are. I constantly see folks running off in different directions or leaving another player way behind. Everyone needs to stay focused on the little green crosses on your map as well as the nasties up ahead. If you don't do that someone is going to lose their character. Communication is the key that makes all this work.

My personal style dictates that every jar, chest, coffin and corpse get checked for items. I have seen a Jalal's pop out of a chest in Act 1 NM before. If you in a real big hurry to get through the game that's fine. Just let me know first. My style of play is certainly not the same as everyone else's and is generally somewhat slower. If you play differently that is fine. I can always run in a different game. Party play is a blast, but the level of awareness needs to be raised when 2 or more gather together for some serious critter bashing.

Wise thought there Mark, it's essential that you know where your teammates are, esp when trouble arises....

Had to visit my cardiologist yesterday, got some blood drawn and had an EKG done.

On the way home, I found out my daughter has 2 abscese (sp), have 2 get 2 bottom teeth that have to be extracted n some other baby teeth that need to get filled. She did get a flouride treatment, so less candy and sweet for the little girl. She was prescribed an antibiotic, that she of course refuses to take, so my wife n myself have to deal with her tantrums @ medicine time.

I did have a killer trade, some1 needed IK boots and they offered me 40 lovely pgems, which I graciously took... I then burned them into a GC, with no results... ah well.

Good afternoon misfits.

I'm finally back, and rested, from my retreating this past weekend. Actually, I got back on Sun., but then had to travel on Mon. down to our state prison to depose a guy in there for child abuse/molestation. Let me tell you, that whole experience was creepy. The big steel doors clanging shut behind you, sitting across the table from a guy who likes little boys. I hope to never have to do something like that again. In any case, I'm back for the attack now, at least until this weekend when the inlaws show up. *sigh*

Thought this would also be a good time to follow up on Mark's point about staying together, because I am probably one of the most consistent offenders. :) It's not that I rush, I just don't pay enough attention sometimes. Fortunately, Mark isn't shy about calling me back, and I recommend that everyone who finds him/herself in that situation say something as well, sometimes we don't mean to be doing it. :)

Time?? I have to run to the store after sons practice...be home probably around 8:30-9.......

Need to start Hell Act 1 with Necro once I can hook up with Wing....he has a nice Arm of Leoric that will bring my skellies up to a very acceptable lvl :flip:

I also had a Echocardiogram done 2 weeks ago, which basically checks to see how well your heart is pumping... my results are between 20-25%, which is pretty low in most adults... but due to my medical condition and my overall health - it's a decent area.

Mornin' Misfits!!

Hope all was with you yesterday Wing and the test showed "A" OK. Hope your health issues go away .

Excellent night for Ed's return. Made it to Lower Kurast WP after a very intense trip through the Marsh and huge packs of Gloams. Found my first ever 1.1 Unique, a +1 Eschutas of a champion in the Spider Cavern of all places. Little spud tried to ambush me from behind, but my skellies made him pay dearly. Not great stats, but it was still nice to get the drop.

Very scary moment in the Flayer Dungeon. We lagged just as Ed got to a Shaman. I thought we were both dead, but when the sudden burst of activity hit after the lag spike all the bad guys were dead. Tedious part of Act 3 behind us. Hard part ahead. Very, very intense. Very very, very fun. We will probably go again around 8 or so tonight. Company welcome.

I'm just taking meds daily to keep the situation in check.

Just some info... around 5+ years ago, I was told I had CHF - Congenital Heart Failure, my heart was / is enlarged and it wasn't pumping properly. I was initially told I may need a heart transplant, but because of the meds I have been taking, I no longer needed it.

So I just see my cardiologist for basic check-ups and what not.

On the D2 Field,

I actually got to game for a period of time, I changed my mfin habit, and tried various mlvl 85 areas. Didn't really find ne thing of use.

I did join Louis n Mike for 2 NM Baal runs, b4 rl took over again.

ok this sucks.. i just got Trigger TP killed on my zon... grock just hooked me up with some nice low lvl items too. was about to make lvl 30 doin cows and bam some zon guided arrow kills me in 1.2 seconds

so if anyone feels like rushing me i could use a rush on my new char... whatever that is gonna be, probably sorc..

Had some fun doing some NM Baalz last night with Mike and Wing.

Just needed to relax cause on bonehead hit my car last night with the whole family in it. No one was hurt Thank God but he did over a grand worth of damage to it :rant: This is why I am a firm believer that at a certain age you should be checked annually to make sure you can still drive!!!!!!

Looking to get my Necro up and starting hell. To many Light immunes for me to keep at it with my sin. Necro is lvl 72....just need to figure out what am gonna do for resis....I am thinking smoke but I lose +1 skill :( so I am searching for a +2 skillz ammy to make up for the loss.....so I can have 12 skellies doing 350 damage :jig:

Seph - FYI for you. If your gonna do the Pubby thing stick to Baal runs in normal. Never, ever do them in NM and no Moo Pubbys either. If they aren't triggering they will swarm the TP and let you come in to about 50 cows.

I was due yesterday but still no baby.

Although yesterday we did get a "new" truck :thumbsup: 1998 Ford F-150XL (150 or 1500 ,cant remember :P )
My dad gave us the down payment so that we could get it . I havent driven it yet , Bill sais he wont let me ! lol

Our boys were 8pounds 6 ounces and 8 pounds 11 ounces , I *think* this one is going to be smaller , tho Im only judging that because my belly is smaller than it got with them ,but Ive gained the same amount of weight :rant: . And Im only 5 ft tall 120 pounds non-pregnant =/
At least both times I only kept an extra 5 pounds to lose after baby was born ,so hoping it will be the same this time.

Mornin' Misfits!

Mark & Ed's adventures in Hell continued last night. We started off at the Lower Kurast WP joined by Mike and Lou. Man 2 Wind Druids, my necro and an OrbMeteor Sorc will let you know if you Video Card is up to snuff. Nothing created any problems for us, including getting swarmed at a temple entrance.

It was a socket kind of night too. Got a 5 socket Scourge, 4 Socket Eth Scarab Husk and a 4 socket Wyrmhide. Messa was happy. Meph dropped stinky stuff however. I personally belive it was the curse of Lou that caused this.

Tonight is scary time doing Act 4. No question Im putting on a T-Gods for this one. NM Gloams hurt enough, I can only imagine what they do in Hell. HOpefully I'll live long enough to get to the Hell Forge. That would be my first one in 1.1.

Well put, there was so much going on most of the time last night that I could barely see the monsters, and kept getting too close to popping dolls. This would be as far as I've gotten in this ladder season, so I'm getting excited about making it all the way, no deaths. :)

The really nice thing about playing with a good group of people, especially in hell, is that when something starts hitting you really hard, you can retreat a little and regroup, recast stuff, and not have to always run for your life. I know I did that several times last night, and always had some skellies/tornados/meteors/etc., covering my butt, so to speak. Tonight would be really good time for that again. Anyone? Bueler?

Hey Pat,

Sorry about not getting back to you but things were a little intense last night.

As I am doing an umtwinked Nec on West outside of the TWC team this is what I'm doing:

Get skellies to 5 w/o skill bonus
One into Mastery
Max skellies while getting Weaken/Terror/Decrep
With Decrep you will own Dury
Max Skeleton mastery while getting the prereq's for Summon Resist.
You should have +1 SR by NM.
Get Clay Golem. You can go to Iron Golem if you want but I have found that Clay works great and it saves points for Bone Spear and Teeth.
Once SM is maxed get one point in Corpse Explosion
then start working on Bone Spear
Max BS then max Teeth (The Synergy)
If you want you can get Bone Shield, but I'm in NM untwinked and have had no need for it. I'll probably get it in late NM early Hell.
If you use your skellies properly they will be your bone shield.
You want dim Vision by act 5 NM due to stinking Archers and Spear Cats.
Gamble for a Teleport Ammy, shop for + to skelly and SM.
Kill everything and have a ball.

Almost forgot - Prayer or Defiance Merc in Normal. Might in NM
