Is TpPk gone?

Was about 6 months since i quit D2, and i miss it. But as i only like HC and got PK'ed by a TpPker a couple of times i got really pissed, really really pissed actually.
I checked the forums a couple of months ago to check if TpPk was gone, but it wasnt...
So, is Town-portal PK gone? (the cheat)

I'm sure that Blizzard, taking a hard stance against third party programs, is working hard to identify these cheats and hacks and will very soon disable these cd keys (R O T F L M A O). If they moved any slower on this, they'd be going backwards.

One of the shortest posts I have ever seen from Stinger but thats all you can really say about it. TPPK isn't leaving anytime soon and unfortunately I don't see Blizzard doing anything about it.

It's not gone, I witnessed it few days ago in a public hell baal run. Didn't think it happens in hell also...

Just join a pubbie game and party up with every necro and amazon in there. Oh, and be real irritating when they do party... complain about them not following you close enough, call them noobs, etc, etc. You'll get your answer REAL quick. :surprise:

Call me a newbie (actually been playing since the original came out but tend to quit for long periods), but can someone explain exactly what/how the tppk happens so I don't get snuffed and have a coronary?

here are the usual suspects...

necros - using bone spirit
sorc - in normal baal using charged bolt
druid - using tornado
amazon - using guided arrow

[Frostburns]

TPPKer casts projectiles.
TPPKer tps to town.
TPPKer hostiles you.
Projectiles do not disappear right away and probably hit you, causing you to die unless you are very durable.
Meanwhile TPPKer is safe in town so you can't even fight back.

Is it something like they send portal and then click on "hostile" while you are portal'ing or what?

frostburns explained it really well.

generally the tppker will have a program/script that will automatically do the following sequence...

tp to town
walk in tp
hit hostile faster than you can blink an eye.

they just hit a button on their keyboard (i believe). for example, if you see an amazon shooting guided arrow at you really fast not the monster, it may already be too late 'cause they only have to hit one key on their keyboard and you'll most likely be dead. constant vigilance!

well, I've had couple of blizz sorc try to tppk me recently so that that to the list.
