How much dex do the elite zealots have?

I have seen that lots of the elite zealots that have been pumping dex. It seems to work rather well from what I have seen. What do you think about having 240 base dex before any items? I have seen some that have been going this high. Any truth or facts to back up whether or not this route works or not? Thanks

Well, I don't know what your definition of "elite" is, but my zealot has around 110 base dex.

Anyway, i dont think the gain is ar is worth the loss in life. The end.
Max for block is all thats needed.

Pumping dex also increases your def with holy shield on, but gains are minimal.

I just dont see the benefit though.
these are just rough numbers but a standard zealot will maybe have 18k ar and 1.8k life (no bo) ?
pumping 150dex = 600 base ar = about 3k ar with zeal+fanat.
150 dex = 450life so that would make 21k ar 1350 life

Anyway no matter the standard zealot, seems a small gain in ar for the big loss in life.

Well, I never suggest Exile, especially when it's used in conjunction with a high str armor. If you want those massive armors, a Stormshield will give you the str you need, especially if you toss on Steelrends as well. Also, if you want an exile, perhaps a Stone Archon or an Eth Arkaine's would serve your needs better. In my opinion, vitality almost always beats a little more defense. Not matter what, you will get hit. The question is, will you be able to survive it?

Uh, unless all the palapk items are not "normal bs items" you have pretty much a cookie cutter build. You even said so yourself, the fun in palapk was "perfecting" your gear, paying lots more for an exile with a bit more def or a botd with a bit more ed.

I use the glitched arreats/glitched valor/410 Eth Botd Zerk/Perf SS 39/9 str, 38/9 dex, 38/9 dex jewels in, helm, armor, shield respectively. I use two hotos for bo and stuf flike that O_O ( I wil lnever trade such items on these forums against rules i will not support or argue for these items, i will folllow forum rules )

99.999% of superior ebotds are duped and made with a realm crashing hack. Isn't it against your style to use such items.

ALl my chars are at huge disadvantages to this so melee is like the only one thing i can dominate. I can dominate through svs and stuff (even gotten 3rd in realm ocne) but this gets owned quickly by the new breed of users o_O

This is typical response for those who think zeal_vs_zeal is a click and hold game. Although this is true to some extent in duels w/o cta because win/loss is determined in initial contacts. If you are on uswest and duel with cta, try dueling king_paladin or iam_din, they have good side-step finishing moves.

Before this patch I also bvbed a great deal. 1.09 bvb was somewhat simpler than 1.10 zealvszeal. You still have to know some basics such as never end your ww in your opponent's ww. This is why you see don't see two good wwers whirlwinding parallel to each other. They always ww at angles.

Dracoy: you didn't answer why you chose ebotd over fury or glitched fury. Considering the time between ww passes, wouldn't ow be very effective ww vs ww?

Nothing wrong with cookie cutter builds - most people use them as they are effective. Insult cookies and you insult many users. I think the justification behind the high dex would have been a more important matter than slagging off his gear.

You certainly got on Garbad's case for the same thing. You're right about one thing, a cookie cutter is fine aside from the complete lack of originality. What gets to me is bragging about these things. To me, boasting shows one of three things:
a.) You are bragging about a build that is used by 9/10s of bnet. I applaude your ability to ask the nearest person in a baal game what gear to throw together on your character.
b.) You are bragging about the cost of your gear. Elitism is intolorable in reality and even more so on a game.
c.) You are bragging about your skill. Regardless of whether you have skill or not, arrogance is tasteless in any situation. Actions speak louder than words, and they are a hell of a lot less abrasive.

Boasting is always a stupid thing to do. I guess dracoy can keep on boasting since nobody in useast has proved otherwise. I don't have problem with people boasting about items or being #1 as long as they are mannered people, mostly in dueling situations where the dark sides of most people show up.
To all rich dracoy's opponents on east, if you have the time and resources, try this gear setup which will probably dethrone him.
weapon: eth glitched fury
armor: eth glitched duress
gloves: steelrend or str/dex/life high defense gloves
helm: glitched arreat face
shield: stormshield
belt: verdungos
boots: high defense str/dex/life high defense boots
An alternate setup would be eth glitched beast/dracul's/gore (68%ow instead of 99%ow)

Sorry to tell you this, but there are more than 20 barbs on USEast. There are thousands upon thousands of players with barbs out there, and until you can say that you can beat every single one of them, it means that the possibility exists that there is a BvB char somewhere out there that could mop the floor with you. You got ripped off. I don't know who gave you those prices, but they had some seriously skewed ideas on what the economy is. And when you say runes, don't be stupid, we all know that it's just code for 3/20/20s.

No, we don't think you Ebay. You just use two of your lesser-known accounts, DracoyPk2 and 5 to scam with. You're supposed to be a legit dueler, but why are you wanted for scamming on other D2 trading sites?



So what if you're number one with your little BvB dueling group? You are scared of competition (although you say you do it all for the challenge), and use your wealth, as do the others in your league to basically make the playing field so hard to compete in that no one else can afford to challenge you. However, if you guys weren't so uptight about eth temp items being bad mannered (thats right, I read that thread) then you would see a lot more competition from those of us that can't afford to pay 4,000 high runes for a helm, claw, shield, armor, or fake title.

Exactly. Just imagine how many years of mfing and trading up you would have to do just to get half that many runes. And further more, I would like to know the mods on that claw, exactly what makes it worth 300 runes. I mean, even if something was the only copy of itself on bnet, you would still be hard pressed to find someone to pay 300 high runes for it - if no one is willing to pay said amount for the item, it's not worth anything.

What did Stout do? What did Real do? You might have said why you banned them, but not a particular offense. I don't see anything I'd consider flaming. And I don't know about you, but since when do many of us have 90 runes to blow, and worse, to blow on one helm?

Several people started attacking you in here and I was not going to stand here and watch it. Many of the long time posters of these forums have quit posting because when they do they get this kind of stuff. That is wrong.

It does not matter who it is, I have gone through threads like this and banned several members for attacking a first time poster. Thinks like this is never ok.

Dracoy, you are not the problem. If you were the problem I would have banned you as well but you did nothing wrong. You handled yourself very well.

To add what dracoy has said. While I have only met Dracoy once or twice on the game, I have seen many of his posts here over the years. He has always been quick to help people. Accussing him of being a scammer is just dirty and wrong. Yes he is a little wierd sometimes and sometimes I think to myself just how sane is he, but he is not a scammer.

To the right person, anything can be worth 300 runes on this game. To most poeple, sure 300 runes is an unreal price and most people would not do a trade because if you were scammed that is a lot to lose. But when you become well known on the realms such as Dracoy, Garbad, Kaz, HeavonAngel, and many other members here, people trust you and would be willing to make a trade to that extent.
