it'll only ever get one socket, and whats best to put in it will depend on your gear and budget, but you really can't go wrong with a plain old Shael.

well right now I have Mav's gear but the bow
I was thinking of putting a shael in it
just wanted to know if anyone found something to be better

in my opinion, you really only have 2 choices... shael or 15% ias jewel with either +min/max or ed% as a second mod. What you need to figure out is which breakpoint you need to achieve and what your final gear will be. For starters, I would shael it as they are very common & you can always unsocket it later with a hel rune. I run a 9/2 strafe which requires 120% ias. With my current gear, I have 125% ias & my WF is shaeled. I am looking for a nice 15% ias jewel with a second mod so I can resocket it. My old gear had exactly 120% ias with the shael.

even if you had a 40/15 in a wf the damage increase would not be that significant so it would be a waste. Or so i've heard..

A high ed jewel in a WF really doesn't boost damage by a noticable amount
(plz don't ask for any numbers, i Hel'ed it out ages ago)
