Question bout Herding

Ok...

I've heard lots about herding but don't know for sure what it entails. Does it mean you group the baddies in a tight group or a loose group? Do you use ur valk as a center to herd around?

I mainly herd when doing cow runs with a javazon. The Valk makes it hard to herd, but the technique is to simply run around in circle to attract mobs of cows and then fury them to death. The idea is to make the most use of fury, which increases your damage potential with the mass number of monsters. This works in chaos sanctuary as well. But mainly, its the cow level that herding is most used. Light fury is mana intensive so you don't want to lay in a few cows. The more cows you have the more chances to for piercing to occur (not raising your pierce percentage). basically you can't miss the hordes of cows. Fury will split into many bolts if there are enough cows to do so.

And try not to bring your holy freeze merc in herding. It maybe safer but it actually slow you down in herding.

Thank you all for the quick replys. Cow lvl is where i did plan to use this and i do have a decent lf zon. Its good to know you dont need a merc bcause i dont have one...

hummm im defenitly thinking of making a LF zon cause cows are fun, and even though they have fallen out of favor, i still like them.
