bugged windforce?

this weekend traded a windforce hydra bow, i socketed it en put a 38%ed 15IAS jewel in it, i got from Baal...
now when i switch from my Mav bow (full set) to my WF, it just doesn't hit... well actually it does hit...but just doesn't do damage....

is this a bug or did i get screwed with the trade?

also when i open inventory and try to replace my mav bow with WF, i hear a "can't use that".
i'm strong enough (134 str with charms) and are level 84. is this b/c of the jewel...or did i really get screwed? :(

Never heard this before, sound like a terrible bug.

Try borrow a windforce from friend to see what happen , or give the wf to your friend to try on.

windforce gives +10 to strength and +5 to dex.

if you try to equip your Mav bow you will lose 10 str and 5 dex and therefore cant equip mav bow anymore (probably)

no i got exactly 134 strenght.... required for the WF...but when i got mav's bow equiped en pick WF from inventory en put it on mav's, i hear "can't use that yet"
but when i clear both hands (remove mav's bow) i CAN use WF, but seem to do no dmg now and than... :s

How much ias do you have? WF is slow so if you lack ias, your dmg goes byebye as well.

Whats your listed damage and what attack do you use?

well 35% in WF and 30% from my mav diadem, so that makes 65% and damage on character gives around 2800 max.

but i heard there is a supposted "bug" with the mav set...

Never heard of this bug.

You still didn't answer my question about what attack you are using.

MA and strafe are affected by this.
have not tried normal attack yet

Whats your AR and it is a dex or vit build?

Since i gtg now, ill just leave some generic answers:

Get at least 10k ar, the more the better otherwise your not hitting.
Reach the next breakpoint for strafe.
Switch your gear, you took out the bow and lost all the set bonuses it gave you. Mavs set isn't that great anyways.
Dex build is far superior in damage, however i prefer a mix of dex and vit.

it DOES hit... i get the graphix for a hit... monster even stops for a sec... but he just won't die on me....

i'm currently trying to get other gear...hope this solves the problem

Its probably your gear since you lost all the set bonuses from the full set.

With no ed gear and little ias, my wf strafer tears monsters apart be it 1 or 8 player games. No max/ar/dex scs either, pure mf.

Could that be a problem maybe? Im not so well informed on bugged/duped stuff so my statement is just a guess....

On my old pvp zon yes, I had all the ed/ias gear and stuff. But I was talking about my strafer that I made. It used skullders, shako, 08 non-duped wf, laying of hands (?), goldwrap, mf rings/ammy, and travs. Pretty much tore pvm up with ease. 100 base vit rest into dex/strength for gear, lvl 89.

quick question Sjefke, if you any elemental damage on your equipment or on your charms, and the arrow "hits" a monster, do you see a little explosion (fire) or a little shock (lightning) or a little chill (ice) register on the monster? I mean, do you see the graphic for the elemental added damage registering or not? If you see the graphic and still no damage is registered on the monster, then more than likely the bow may be bugged. I've heard of this bug before and I think that this is how you can tell if you've got a buggy item or not. However, there is no way to alleviate the problem...sorry about that.

don't use duped things! period...

but okay...seems to be problem with the partial set bonus on the mav set

i got this same bug on my season 1 mav zon, who got wf on swap. when i chanced from full mav to mavina, wf simply didnt hit anywhere, mav did. I got enough str and dex for both bows :scratch: after i waited few minutes, wf hit again normally.

edit: WF was self-found from pits and i used mostly MS, but even quided didnt hit(or just didnt do dmg?)
