I have recently aquired a almost perfect Runemaster I think it is like4% lower than perfect... anyhow now I have 5 sockets and I need to socket them.
I was thinking of 4x40/15IAS and a Jah rune. What does everyone think please let me know what you would/have socketed yours with.

I am working on a intresting build that will be posted in a diff. thread once I get it all done.
Lets just say I will only be using normal attacks. The build is an Iron Barb Build with a twist.
With a normal attack, 60% IAS is only going to bring the runemaster to 12 frames. You need 70 for 11 and 105 for 10.

Hal, so for a conc barb, and 60ias on the runemaster, 15ias in helm, 15 ias in shield, thats 90 ias. Is this enough to get the faster conc hit possible? botdz is also 60 ias so wouldnt it be the same? Thanks

To get to the fastest ias bp with runemaster, 9 frames, you need 174% ias. 90% ias would put you at an 11 frame conc. 105% would get you to 10 frames.
It depends what weapon you put botd in, whether it would be the same or not. The ias calculations are based off of the weapon's base speed. For example a zerker axe @base speed 0 is only 10 base speed faster than a runemaster, you would only need 125% ias to get to a 9 frame conc.
I use the German weapon speed calculator (http://diablo2.ingame.de/tips/calcs/weaponspeed.php?lang=english) to figure out ias needed for the attacks. Be forewarned, while the interface is much more intuitive than other ias calculators, it is kinda buggy and values will reset on occasion. So, before you calculate the final values, make sure your information is all correct.
Exactly as Gooey said. Thus the reason the berserker axe is generally superior; it breaks 10 at 75% ias and 9 at 125%, which is very easy to get to with BotD.

Hal, Do you mind me asking your personal opinion on what I should put in my eth runemaster? What would you put in? Assuming I am using 15ias in my helm and 15 ias in my shield and 20ias from highlords. What ya think? Thanks.

I'm assuming your runemaster has 5 sockets:
ww:
- zod
- 3x 30+ed/ias jewels
- 30+ed/max.
NOTE: only weapon ias matters, so 45% ias in weapon to reach the last bp.
conc/zerk:
- zod
- 4x 30+ed/ias jewels
NOTE: This is 12 fpa, get 10% more ias (gloves) and you will be at 11 fpa.
frenzy:
- zod
- 4x 30+ed/max jewels
NOTE: with 4x 30+ed/ias jewels and lvl 25 frenzy, you would be at a 6 frame attack. It would be better to stack ed/max jewels and have it as an off-hand weapon and have a fast weapon like death cleaver as the weapon that determines frenzy speed.
If you can't afford the rune and jewels, it would be pointless to socket the runemaster with anything else. It would, by far, be better with either a ww build or a frenzy build.
edit: addressed to wrong person; use Gooey's advice above :)

Hal, two people were posting about runemasters. The thread-starter Ed_MarloZon was asking about a regular runemaster and Hot-Jaim was asking about an eth runemaster.
Oop, nice point-out Gooey, I wasn't paying total attention. Apologize for that.
In retrospect, I agree with everything Gooey said in his response to you :)
