View Full Version : Low Grade Azurewrath still worth using?

I found an Azurewrath last night... but it's a low one
+232% Enhanced Damage
+5 To All Attributes
Level 13 Sanctuary Aura
... but even so, it sill looks nice. I currently have a near perfect Heavens Light with 2 sockets that I use as my main weapon. My zealot is specifically a FROST zealot. He is lvl 82 currently, so I can't try this sword, but i'm curious if it's worth keeping or if my Heaven's Light would be better anyway. I don't know if it would make a better main weapon or if I should just keep it on switch for Physical Immunes. I already dish out a lot cold damage and can kill PI's... but not when there are lots of them. Is this thing even worth keeping considering its low ED? If so, is it worth using as a main weapon over a near perfect Heaven's Light?

Oh, BTW... I play PvM only. I do casual duels in trade games sometimes, but I could really care less how well I can duel.... pure PvM is all i'm concerned about.

its a phase blade >.< the dmg with high ed is just slightly higher.. so it hardly matters.. And i dunno if it its better than heaven lighter but it sure does look better !!!

The obvious gain is the magic/cold damage, and the speed. You will not have a hard time to get 4 fpa zeal with this thing (50% from a shaeled Azure means you need 25% more from the rest of your gear to hit 4fpa), and the step from 5 fpa -> 4fpa zeal is quite huge, then again, heavens has some other nice mods, like cb e.t.c.

I say keep it and try it when you get to 85, see which you feel more comfortable with.

As for me, I am a solid fan of Stormlash ;)

500-1000 cold/magic dmg

with a 31-35 base the physical damage isn't going to vary a whole lot, so the minimum azure isn't too bad compared to the maximum

azure is a ton of fun pvm

I'd take a azurewrath with 230 and 10atrri over a 270 with 5 :). Those 40%ed adds like 14max dmg iirc, which is fairly sucky. The defiance might make a difference, 10-13 is a 30% gap which could add something, but again, not enough to say that a lowend isnt good enough.

Cool, i'll give it a shot... maybe it will be my new weapon at lvl 85. As far as 4 fpa zeal... I don't think I can get that... i'm a frost zealot... I don't have an aura helping me attack faster.

Defiance? Azurewrath adds sanctuary aura

That's the thing. With Azurewrath, which is a phase blade(-30 speed), you only need a total of 75% IAS to get a 4 fpa zeal, WITHOUT Fanatacism.
