use for dragonscale?

hi all just found this thing in arreat platteau are there any guides/builds where this shield can be incorperated or is this thing usless?

That depends on what you are after. Since that shield doesn't have any block mods, it's really only useable if you are using GA. If you are playing an Avenger, or another character that relies on heavy elemental damage, it can be quite useful.

Probably the best build to use it would be a zealot that uses a Hand of Justice phase blade. You can put points into Resist Fire and Salvation to fully synergize the Holy Fire aura you get from that runeword. Add the extra damage from Dragonscale, and take into account the -35% (I think) to enemy fire res, and you're doing some nice damage AND you can still run a second aura. Holy Shock, Holy Freeze, or Convictioin would work really well.

Only problem with that build is the price of a HoJ phase blade. Good luck finding the runes yourself, and if you trade for likely duped runes then your weapon isn't going to last very long.

gear mostly will be stuff to increase ele dmg cant decide between ga or orimus +15% fire dmg guess you were right with ga for the block stats!
hoj phaze is my goal though would it be ok in a zerker?
as for the runes i would never knowingly trade for dupes but i play ladder so
hopefully they'll be legit!

Once a rune goes into an item it is premenantly permed, so it cannot dissappear from you socket.
