IK Barb - Titan aproach?

I'm thinking on starting an IK barb by myself (just traded for IK armor)
He'll be a MF char (mainly).
My question is : has someone tried a Titan (all strength) IK barb?

I haven't personally tried it, but I've heard a lot of success stories about it. It seems to be about par with a vitabarb... slightly faster killing, but slightly less durable. Seeing as so many points go into strength already to make an IK vitabarb, an ik titan isn't too different.

Hmm the difference is 275 stat points at lvl 85 so over 2000 hp which is not a small difference

Actually, with the +45 str bonus from IK items, that puts you at 187 str investment. That means you'll have 253 points for vit (after the 15 stat bonus from lam essen's tome@all 3 difficulties). That's still over 100 points into str that typically would go to vit/dex for a vitabarb based off of uniques.

What I was aiming at was playstyle doesn't change so much for an IK barb. You have less life, but in turn, your higher dmg will mean you leech more. So in the end, it often balances out. You just have to play a bit more carefully with a titan, however it will be quicker killing.

if you was to turn an IK barb into a MF IK barb. What would be the most MF u could get of him, if u put ist all u could?? Would you get up 300mf+??

or would u have ali baba on swap to boost the mf?

A perfect helm would get 40% mf, and boots get 25% mf. That's 65% mf.

If you socket helm and armor with 2 ptopazes (just 1 mf different than ists), you get a total of 137% mf.

You'd have to have 2xist ali baba on switch for mf if you want to boost it up to near the 300% range without filling your inventory with mf charms.

Personally, I'd worry more about horking than mf once you get your 137% mf. Just Find Item the hell out of things and you'll find a decent amount with just that 137%.

Yes I Have tried and loved this character I used Full IK set with 40/15IAs in Maul and Helm and a Pul in the armor for more def.

I built him as a cookie cutter WW barb. does very good in PvM and also good in PvP.

I made him a titan and I love it...

He does insane amount of damage and rocks.
Plus he is alot of fun to play... :clap:

I also made a Spear Titan barb, I used the RoboPike with him.
