ultimate PvM barb?

Hey!

I plan on doing a PvM barb, ideal for baal and cow runs. what build is the best PvM? I have about 1 HR + @ to spend on him (I could make a Botd).

is conc WW the best?

I would think that either frenzy or ww would be quickest for hell cow runs. Though, if you're going to consistently be doing hell baal, you might want to consider a berserk barb so you wouldn't have to worry about im. If you were to consider doing a berserk barb, it would kill quite quickly too, seeing as it's magic dmg and roughly about 1000%ed from skills vs conc's 500%ed.

Im big advocate of Frenzy for anything for killingpower/pvm action lol

Im biased though, cus I just got myself a 198 LS and 268Azurewrath...

No problems with Cows or Baals.
Con/WW I've used. I can say those are great but Con is only good vs single targets is act bosses still kinda kills slow but its definitly a big plus for suriving.
Have you thought about WW/Berserk you can get away with a couple point sin berserk I think, it really wont harm your build much if any at all. Once you have your definsive stuff out of the way like shout/bo and weapon mastery done can sprinkle a few points here and there with berserk and nat resist (to me lots more useful for pvm then iron) unlike most skills from what I understand berserk is one of those skills that isn't all or nothing..
Its ok to have like 5 pts berserk and 20WW or something along those lines. however skills like con you either max or just 1 pt it. however WW i think is all or nothing mostly.

imo for a WW build, berserk is a 1 point wonder as that is all you need to avoid IM death.

If you are asking best to kill very quickly, a typical BVCaster build with less emphasis on damage reduction/even res (except for light res, just put some +11 res all scs in your stash) and much more on damage. Baal Runs really are not difficult, especially with insane life a barb can get, so just go high damage WW barb. And I would wear Enigma with 2 Wizspikes to teleport yourself for each baal run if you want to level a lot.

ok a bit more on the setup. I dont think I have to worry about surviving :P we have 2 necros with lvl 46 in skeletons that I reguarly play with, so its mostly damage dealing that I need to do (not tanking).

I'm reading through the guides and I must say they are very well done! seems as if all barbs must have a BotD thou. so I guess I'll start looking for a eth CB (I like swords more than axes). well thanks for all the help.

A BotD isn't necessary to kill quickly, but it's considered the best all-around weapon for a barb. If you're looking for dmg-dealing without worrying about survivability, then think about a great poleaxe for BotD. However, for dueling purposes, you will want to stick with a one-hander/shield...

The best barbs for pvm killing speed are imo ww barbs with a 2 handed Botd (I like ghost spear) You will never have to worry about health due to leech from BotD and Arreats, the only thing you need to worry about is IM. Just take your time with berserk for thos esituations and make sure not to attack after you get manaburned.

Also, CoH is far superior to Enigma for Baal runs.

Just to let you know, while I think ww barb is the best for killing speed, it gets pretty boring to play. There's no originality in the build, you will be the same as pretty much every barb you see.

Berserk seems like a great option since you will be grouping with 2 necros with a bunch of skeletons. You can use a BotD warpike, go with a really high damage build and not really have to worry about getting hit.

A WC barb prolly won't die with maxed resist. With alot of plus skills, their killing speed aint that bad either.
