1.fina sc of vita
2. warcry/combat skillers
Those are the two options. Get option 1 if possible, option2 if 1 is too expensive. Fill up the rest of the equipment with vita sc, res sc, Steel GC, depending on what you need (life, resist or ar).

anyone considered using defense scs or gcs? you can get up to +100 def on gcs, and scs can get up to +30 def. So stalwart charms of vita/inertia often find a place in my barb's inventory...but then...thats only coz i dont have 39x3/20/20s lol.
i was also thinking that a shocking small charm of storms would be pretty nice.
1-99 lightning damage on an sc is not something to be underated. These are potentially alot better than pdsc on chars such as lightning zons, furysins, zealots, frenziers and other fast hitting chars, especially when using gear like griffons, crescent moon, thunderstroke. A few lightning charms - damn good...now just to find some...

I was wondering the same thing, I am making an Iron barb right now and was thinking about instead of using skill charms I was considering using all def/vita small charms...
What do the "expert's" think?
If you were going strictly defense, it could be worthwhile. The problem is that the higher you go in defense, the less it really does. Por ejemplo, going from 1000-5000 defense will have more of an effect on your chance to be hit than going from 22,000-26,000; it just gets large diminishing returns. In terms of some real number you can use: Going from 17,000 defense to 23,000 defense only lowers your chance to be hit by Burning Dead archers in act 5 hell by 3 to 6%.
Secondly, if you use a conc build, there comes a point where any extra defense is pointless unless you're just standing still, since while you're swinging conc will give you enough of a boost to push you to the maximum defense rate of 95%.
