I'm experimenting with a build that mainly uses Blade Fury/Blade Barrier, etc.
Thing is, I can't find out how much the weapon affects the blades.
If I'm using claws, does clawmastery add dmg to the shurikens? ><
Anyone?? :howdy:
Yep. All the blade skills take 3/4 of your display damage for normal attacks (except for 2-h weapons which have a 50% penalty).

None of the blade skills synergize, do they?

Nope. And two of them are borderline pathetic. If anyone doesn't know which ones, their initials are BS.
Sounds like a fun challenge though.

I don't know if it was you bug, but when I was asking about Nats, someone was swearing that the best build for the set was a Dragon Clawer with Blade Sentry and Venom. Cast the Sentry, then shred them with Claw and Venom.
Sounds pretty ***...like a Firewall sorc that expects her enemies to stand still...
If there was no casting delay on blade sentinel, I'd hold it in higher regard, but 2 seconds is WAY too long to wait.
BSentinel also has no place for a trapper since it counts towards your 5 trap limit, but in a strictly blade (or maybe a WW variant) build, I could see it having some use.

Definitely not me. Although the idea's not a horrible one, calling it the "best" use of the Nat's set is a bit much.
The Sentinal's not total garbage. It just should be a little better than it is. I wish it didn't have that 25 frame NextDelay on it, and that it transferred a few more effects. Oh well.

Actually, how could would Blade Shield be if it were more like the Druid's Hurricane spell? Damn, THAT would be awesome!

If you are going to try this for the challenge, then some advice:
I would give is get as much Deadly Strike as possible. Highlord's Wrath Amulet, Duress, Goreriders, whatever else you can think of, there may actually be a shield with Deadly Strike, yeah Lance Guard 20%. Runewords: Fury, Honor, Doom, Hand of Justice have 20-33% Deadly strike. Lo rune ads 20% deadly strike as well to weapons
I'm not sure how non-venom poison interacts with the blade weapons? Does anyone know if that is reduced by the Blade Skill penalties?
Weapon Speed of the weapon barely affects your attack rate with these skills. IE it only effects your initial trap laying speed after that successive BF will come out at 8fpa. So clunky slow weapons will be ok for you this is good. So find the highest damage one handed weapon possible.
AR is also a huge problem. So use Enchant & Angelic items to boost your AR. Remember to get both % increases and base increasers.

Weapon speed has zero effect on either the rate or casting animation of BF. It has zero effect on the rates of the other two skills, although I don't know about the casting animations.

Weapon Speed and IAS does affect your casting speed for traps. BF is a trap, so is Blade Sentinel. Actually, I think Blade Shield may be FCR. BF's initial attack will be at a rate which will be determined by weapon speed. If you hold it down, it will continue to fire at 8fpa.

Weapon speed does affect the firing speed of certain traps--FB, SW. It does affect the setting speed of the Sentry and Wake traps, but not their firing rate. It certainly has no effect on either the initial animation or firing rate--6 frames, not 8--of Blade Fury. I know this for a fact.
Like I said before, Bsentinal and Bshield may have their cast animation affected in some way, but I don't have enough experience with the skills to say.

it seems a nice idea, i might try a trapper/ninja combo like that. an since blade skills on trap tree it can be really good beefed up with skillers. actually when i come back from england i might try it.oonly problem i see now is lack of ar for blade fury.
