The pros and contras of a charge+smite fanaticism paladin...

20 vigor (sinergy)
20 might (sinergy)
1-20 smite
20 fanaticism (main aura)
1-20 holy shield


If you max out charge it gives a whopping 1375% damage. Combined with a 373% extra damage from fanaticism you get a 1748% extra damage. In addition you recieve a 470% bonus to attack rating, so you wont miss so lightly. After you hit him, smite him and he ll be stunned for 4.4 seconds. Thanks to the knockback you can run up and hit him again with a whoppin 1748% extra damage. Smite him and charge. Repeat.

But there are some problems. Problems like: how do i switch my skills at my main attack. Shortcutting them has no use because that only works for the right attack, but that slot is occupied by an aura...

I was wondering, can this paladin ever work out? Or should i just aim for the one billionth zealot...

Itll work just fine.

You can hotkey skills for both the left and right mouse button easily, just go to the options menu in the game and set them from there.

As far as skills, if you plan to use smite at all, make sure you max holy sheild, it gives a bigger bonus per level than smite itself does.

i have a crage smite pally and let me tell u that id rather be more smite than more chrage.. why? charge is veryyyyyyyyyyyy bugged atm. there has been many times when i would charge and could have easily finished someone off but i got stuck so died :(

Sorry but the stun doesn't work in PVP, PVM yes. Smite can send a character into hit recovery or knockback, that you can take advantage of.

I'm sure you weapon switch to get out from being stuck but for those who don't know, by switching weapons, you are able to offset the bug. It's annoying but charge is still very useful particularly vs casters.

ya i like how my charge is working against casters but it does get on my nerves heh. the way i get out of the lock is by telling someone to kill me then ican pick up my body :P (sux huh?)

Why don't you use weapon switch instead? Or are you just pulling my leg?

Lol, thanks ROMVS I really didn't know about the wep switch either. Nice to know : ) Whats the deal when after you die sometimes u can't charge at all?

weapon switch doesn't always work - especially if you die whilst charging. i think in that case you (often) need to rejoin.

ioono i never tried weapon switch before.. never knew about it. but im planning on giving up on smite alo together.. its wayy too buggy and just gets me frustrated :P

you mean charge? smites not bugged... to my knowledge-- although its a hell of a way to crush caster class characters
