Best Barb build?

What is the over all best barb build? I've not as experience as far as barbs go but have found a lot of the IM set with a friend on solo so I'm curious about the different builds.

as always with such questions, the answer is it depends on what you want.

Just go for the skill that interests you most.

Concentrate - easiest, safest
Berzerk - can handle iron maiden and phys imune, highest damage per hit possible. moderately difficult for HC, shield makes easier but you lose the only opportunity to make a barb do real high numbers of damage.
Whirlwind - overal decent damage, not difficult, but less advisable in HC.
Frenzy - moderate damage, more difficult to play, but loads of fun playing the meat grinder.
Double Throw - moderate damage, difficult to play, nice chalenge to get trough HC hell difficulty solo :D

In team play, the damage a barb does is insignificant though, so for teams the best barb simply has a ll 50 shout and BO and is able to tank every crowd in the game.

wolfbarbs - high attack speed, fast rune speed, high life
zealbarbs - orginal, 4 fpa or 5fpa zeal depending on weapon, needs lots of CB

actually that was just the second now third sit I've posted on. lol. But hey I'm looking for something new with high MF so I figure i'd be good to look under every stone. I need more specific posts though.

My favorite build is the frenzy barb. Some time I feel like a red headded step child when folks find out I can't WW. Playing the less popular builds is far more fun than the cookie cutter WW barbs. Every Newbee out there wants one. That and bone necros, hammerdins, and blizz/fire ball sorces.

One build I did not see here was the Bowbarian. I bet thats hard..

If you're looking for mf, then you'll likely want a ww tomb reaver barb or a conc barb.

Wolfbarbs are the best. No question about it. Tons of life, tons of defense, fast attack. Plus its fun confusing people who don't know that barbs can turn into wolves in 1.10 ;).

lol i usually summon a bear (Beast runeword) or wolves and oak sage (wisp projector) to confuse them even more.

I'd say, warcry combined with taunt keeps them safe from damage.
They just don't kill much :D

- an area of effect attack. WW is considered as one, but it's not a true AoE attack, since it still only attacks one target per hit.
- an attack that doesn't require ar
- an attack that isn't based off of weapon dmg
- a natural stun feature that can last up to 6 seconds.

extreme survivability
versitility (especially when you get high end items, like Enigma)
when you've made a group of monsters, they kill respectabley compared to other popular builds
can work well with very substandard items
easy merc leveling
full rejuvies out the ying yang
high %% of Find Item with 1 skill point
huge defense
huge life
best PC tank in the game (IMO)

those don't hurt either


teleporting singers are absolutely amazing/versitile

plus, the comments you get in baal runs are great

wow, this is a crazy can of worms to open in any of the forums.

btw I really enjoy the wolfbarb build, but for ease of play I find that ww barbs, due to my lengthy .09 practice, are easiest.

Well pvp-wise, ww barbs are the best barb build hands down. Wolf barbs and conc barbs are also good pvp.

PvM, most barb builds (cry,ww,conc,wolf,zeal,throw,etc) can be done given that you can obtain the right items.
