Question re: 1.09 -> 1.10 set items

I tried to equip the IK gloves, along with the boots and belt. The gloves came from 1.09 (were converted to 1.10 on a character) and the boots and belt are 1.10 items. The problem was that I didn't get the partial set bonuses on the gloves. Is this just the way it is on converted 1.09 items? I noticed in ATMA that the converted 1.09 items show up as "Expansion" while the regular 1.10 items show up as "1.10 Expansion." So,...am I screwed as far as using the gloves in the set...i.e., need to find 1.10 gloves???

if you've found the soul cage, finding the gloves shouldn't be THAT hard. :)
