hi new to this forums .. took me a while to figure out how to post .. =/
but anyways my question is should i make a duress armor with a 47x defence elite linked mail armor .. ?
if not then waht armor and defence should i go for ..
I would make it in an elite light armor. Not sure if linked is medium or heavy , but an archon would seem the best def / req wise.

Linked Mail is Exceptional last time I checked - are you talking about Diamond Mail?
If so, Diamond Mail is medium. The difference between armor weights isn't THAT big of a deal, but if you're really anal about speed, try to find a 3-socket Archon Plate or Wire Fleece.

Well why make a duress in a medium armor , if you can make it in a light armor aswell? Unless you're really really fond of the linked mail looks , make it in an archon. Wire is an ok second choice , although it does require alittle more str , and IMHO looks alittle less. :P

Generally (notice I said generally) it is easier to find higher defense in medium and heavy armors. I, personally, am willing to sacrifice a frame or two of run/walk for 20-30 more defense points (if I get a good def spawn on armor). It all depends on what you are looking for.
I agree, nothing beats a godly Archon, but if someone wants some huge defense, looking into medium or heavy armors wouldn't hurt either.
