rare armor ... would it work?

I noticed that rare armors never tend to be good .... so i thought to check the stats and make one that might work well ... here it is.

Etheral 600 base sacred armor
Stats

Prefix
2 os
200ed
defence per lvl

Suffix
+60 life
-30 requirments
repairs durability

with 2 x puls and level 99 you would have armor with 2960 defence ... im not sure if those are the best mods ... other mods I thought of using were

Suffixs
+20 str
+15 dex

The prefix basically suck .... would the armor be good for a barb or are stone/ eth capace etc. still better ... for bvb.

I'd drop +life for the dex suffix. 15 stats = 60 base life if you put that into vit, which would be 120 or so after BO :)

I wouldnt waste 2 puls in it... i would put 2 ums in it for 30 res all :D

Actually if it was eth with 2 x pul = 260% defence, it'd add up to 3240 defence. I'd probably stick 2 x ED/IAS jewels in it though, you'd still have 2700 defence which is absolutely massive. Anyway, your chance of getting one of these = LoL :) save up those ethereal ancient/ornate plates and start imbuing (you'll never find any eth sacred armours to imbue, much better chance of upgrading a rare)

Someone in the pally forum has something like that, ethereal bugged zod armour with Stone runeword in it, 3K defence alone on armour :)

Dont use a ethereal sacred armor with only 600 defense, thats about the highest a normal sacred armor can get. Get one with at least 800 or so.

And even that is impossible. Godly and whatever that other prefix may be called are in the same group.

Rare armors aren't made to be endgame. They can be quite nice when untwinked:

the only rare armor I would use late in the game would be 897 ornate for nostalgia sake
