Hey Guys,

I thought I would take this one up witht the barb forum, being as this is my favorite one/ favorite character etc. Okay, everybody knows someone, they never find anything good, but are the first to annoy the hell out of you if you find any good items. For example, running my IK barb for fun, I killed eldritch and a sorc cold charm popped out. I figure I would trade it for a warcry one or something beneficial to my barb. I let the team know and my friend, (real life too met before D2) is nagging me with "let me know when i can pick that up" etc. I already gave this guy an oculus, tals stuff, 2 gheeds, a nagel and he wants more. I dont run my paladin so he keeps askin for my HoZ etc. I know everybody deals with this, or at least I assume they do. How do you all deal with it? I told him that he finds nothing for me so I do need to keep some items to trade, and he got a pissy. So annoying. :surprise:

Hmmmm, tell him you got rid of it already??? or create a scor to use the charm??

Tell him that when he gets into the real world, he's gonna have to learn to fend for himself and by not giving him stuff you're helping him with that. Say that if he were a real friend he should respect the sacrifice you're making for him.

Seriously though, tell him the giving tree grows both ways and you feel your end is being neglected. aka, you feel used and you don't like it.

I'm straight up honest with my friends and if they don't like it, I'm comfortable letting them suffer with it since I was honest with them.

I usually give away what I don't need if it's not going to be traded. Back when real life friends played a gave enigmas, exiles, botd's and the like to them.

Well, if you would just hit them you would a) have more items and b) have some fun hitting them. Two birds with one stone !

Just tell him you want the item ..... I've never had a problem .... although I do play with a group that is mostly 20+ year olds so they are probably more mature about the situation.

it was his real life friend before D2.

This real life friend here, is taking advantage of his real life freindship in game, which is turning his friend into a pauper,so I was wondering if he would take me in instead.Since I am not his real life friend,I wouldn't ask much in return for my "friendship" maybe a few high runes, eth elites, some perfect gems,a good levi perhaps..thats all. :)

K..I'll cut it short: he is pwning you..making a sucker out of you.

as HoD said slap that begging mofo :innocent:.
of course u can pass him some freebies if u dont need the stuff you find.
but if you find a P&B skiller with +40 life and he needs it for his "new" bonemancer then grab your bike/car, buy a big juicy fish and smack em with it.
then trade the skiller for some high runes, then make a wacky runeword that no one "mainstream" uses like a hoto staff or A hand of justice :uhhuh:

I'm 23, realize this is just a game. I just want to enjoy it without a green "give me xxxx" to pop up. Btw he is 30....I did solve my problem though, I just took him out of my friends list and he has no idea when I am on. Problem solved.

Taking him out of your /f list doesnt work, he will still see if you are online, only not in what game

D'accord, je suive toi. Qu'est-ce que tu dois faire quand nous sommes dans une chambre, completement seul?

PS: I need to practice my French :-/

he will only see Kurosu if he uses his flist command, it doesn't automatically state that a user is online that way.
