Hi Everyone,
I'm pretty new to the Druid, so please forgive the basic question.
How long does cyclone armor stick around for? I didn't see anything on the skill tree. Is it a timer, if so does the timer increase with skill level? or is it a damage thing like the necro's bone armor?
Also is using cyclone armor in PvP generally frowned upon like the use of lots of absorb items?
Thanks for the help.

yes its kind of the opposite of bone armor, whereas this armor absorbs elemental dmg instead. once it has taken enough dmg, it goes away; just like bone armor. just recast if it runs out.

what he said...basically it can act as pseudo-resists to an extent....I laugh at you gloams..hohohoooo
it also has a resist of 0, whether you have negative resists or positive ones. So a very high CA can let you get by with low resists.

cyclone armor lasts until it absorbs the maximum amount of elemental damage listed in the skill stats. It's nice for druids with negative resists, but, it sucks for druids with positive resists.
It is very very nice for ANY druid, not just those with low resists. I would rather take 0 damage than any damage. Recast when neccesary. Try tanking souls with 75 resist. I guarentee you will die quite quickly.

Can someone help with the order that these things are applied?
Resists
Absorb from items
Absorb from CA.
Magic damage reduced by XX

Wrong. It's Cyclone first, then MDR, then resist, then absorb% and finally +absorb.

How is this 'known'? I assume folks have dissected this part of the code?
This seems counter to my experience, though. I have a ww who was running around NM act 2, pounding on beetles. I had MDR up near 20-25, and CA around 4-5. Yet, though my lightning resist was negative 8, my CA tended to stay up.
Can anyone account for this anomaly?

Frankly , it doesn't matter if you count resist or %absorb first , it's the same in the end really.
