Block for Rabies/fury wolf?

Hi. I'm currently levelling a Rabies/Fury wolf for PvP and had a few questions about block and other bits and pieces of gear.

Do i need max block? I have read ElectricB's guide and it has no info on block in it. It saysto go for trolls nest but the %chance to block sux. I thought i'd use a SS socketed with a 5/5 Poison facet then have the 6 socket phase and 4 socket monarch with poison facets on switch.

Thought i might stand a chance against a ww barb with the ss

Best overall helm Jalals or Cerebus?

AMulets and rings are pretty standard fare i gather with a maras for casters and angelics for melee. and carrion wind ring for er synergies

Is a 6 shael phase much faster than a 4 shael gris?

Boots.. Aldurs for speed or sandstorms for all round goodness?

Do pdsc's work with rabies?

You won't stand a chance against any whirlwind barbarian, period. (unless you rabies+run)

Stormshield is the best melee shield, but it's up to you.

An 85 total IAS Gris is the same as a 110 ias Phase, IIRC. They both hit 4 fury's and 5 rabies'.

Boots...your choice.

Spend your inventory on more useful things than poison damage sc's. Rabies itself is enough to kill. Get life sc's or shapeshifter's, they'll boost your damage more. (and no, pdsc's don't "work with rabies")

it was not stated in EB's guide was cause its a given, if it was other than 75%, then it would be stated for sure.

Perhaps he meant switch to that after you get a rabies bite in.

Depens where you duel, if its like in CH, jalas would win overall.

I use highlords cause i prefer fury rather than rabies and run away.

No, even if it was, i would choose the damage over the speed in this case seing a 6 shael phase blade has barely any damage at all.

I would choose gores, but thats me.

Yes and no, they wont work to your favor.

Yeah, but he has barely any block i dont think he would have a chance to rabies and run before he gets pummeled.

Like kaz said, use highlords and gores unless you need the resists from maras. Your fury damage won't be too great so you'll be needing the DS from those two equips. Good luck and have fun. :D
