Best builds?

Hello, I'm pretty new to d2 and was wondering which builds are the best for the different classes?

I read that a Meteorb sorc is possibly the best sorc build, but what about the other classes? Thanks in advance :)

(I don't care if they are item dependant, just want to try them out :p)

That question is a bit hard to answer. If you don't have any items yet, you could try a skelemancer (see necro forums for guides) or a trapsin (assa forum). They're very capable of getting through hell alone. A Meteorb sorc is a nice sorc because she doesn't have (much) immunity problems, but it's probably not the easiest build without items.

Oh, sorry if it was a difficult question. As in best I meant the most popular.

So it would like something like this?

Sorc = MeteOrb
Necromancer = skelemancer
Assassin = trapsin

or what? o.o

And like I said about the items, I don't care if they're item dependant, just want to know which builds are the most popular. ^^

most popular builds for each char class imo:

necro: bone necro
amazon: javzon
Paladin: zealot
Barbarian: wwer
assassin: trapsin
sorceress: meteorb
druid: wind druid

note: one can argue that the chars in expansion are very item dependent b/c of the addition to exceptional and elite uniques and runewords. Since the richest players on bnet have those, poorer ppl's chars cant match up to them. so therefore, all the chars become very item dependent.

Is the wwer a lot better than a conc barb on PvM?

o pvm huh? thats changes some:

necro: skelemancer
amazon: javzon
paladin: hammerdin
barbarian wwer ?
assassin: wwer or kicksin
sorceress: meteorb
druid: wind druid

im not sure about wwer and concentration barbs since i dont play them but i see wwers the most.

bone necros are hard to use against masses since bone spirit hits only one target and bone spear dmg isnt that high.

hammerdin is by far the best pvm. they can solo hell easily
trapsin arent viable to solo hell b/c of all the light immunes so u need a melee assassin
meteorb sorcs are the best b/c of 2 elemental attcks
wind druid are better b/c nothing is immune to tornado i think

Now, I'm biased because I use this build, but for extreme ease for the first timer but tons of fun without much problem, I suggest a pure non-summoning werewolf druid. I have only died twice and am now lvl 80 in Hell. There have been few places if real big difficulty and this char is deffinately not item dependant... The only problem so far has been the physically immune wraiths in Hell because they suck mana which supplies my only attack skill which is fury. Other than that, I'm practically invulnerable to attacks from monsters as I have extreme points in vitality plus the oak sage and carrion vine which replenishes health. And though you are not interested in PVP, this is a very good build for it too.. the extreme health and EXTREME rate of attack from all of the skill synergies and item bonuses make it a pretty decent fighter.. most people never expect it.

Yes. One can argue that conc is good blah blah blah, but you definitly kill alot faster with WW.

You can make as many accounts as you wish to.
