I have been mulling over what to use on the imbue quests and figured Diadems to be a decent choice. Would there be any reason to use a Circlet, Coronet, Tiara instead? Also, is it worth rerolling imbued Diadems with the 6 P Skull formula? I have actually accumulated 8-9 Diadems at this point and am just posting here looking for advice before starting to use imbues up on them.

Anotherr option for imbuing, as I have just seen by a recent thread would be ETH weapons, particularly crystal swords or dimensional blades. It did not occur to me that imbuing ETH items was possible.

Any help, opinions appreciated.

....whats the rerolling formula exactly?

Diadems are very special items in the game. Unlike any other item they may have any prefix or suffix, possible for circlet type item, in spite of their item level. So it doesn’t matter where you found diadem, what character level you have on Imbue or anything else.

So diadem ALWAYS may generate +2 skills mod in spite of their item level. Try to imbue a diadem or re-roll rare one with six perfect sculls.

this is because of the qlvl, if ilvl < qlvl then ilvl = qlvl or something alone these lines

Circlets, coronets, tiaras, and diadems have something called a magic level. A diadem has magic level 18, qlvl 86. If the ilvl of an item is less than the qlvl of that item, the ilvl is raised to the qlvl. Thus, a diadem will always have an ilvl of at least 86 (before considering magic level). The magic level is then added to the ilvl to give 104 for a diadem. This is capped at 99, so therefore the ilvl of any diadem is 99, meaning that any affix that can spawn on a circlet-type item can spawn on any diadem.

Yep, Oscuro is right about that - which is why I've been looking for a white diadem to imbue and then re-roll with pskulls...too bad I haven't found one yet.
