Hi everybody,

I was wandering if you could play the game without having the cd in the drive. Because the game slows down every time it needs to get back to the cd-drive to get the information. Is there a way to speed things up?

Thx

1) you can copy the missing *.mpq file(s) from the CD into the installation directory to get a true full install

2) use another starter program that skips the initial CD check. This is a must-do anyway, for all games; installing no-cd fixes with games has become as standard for me as checking for patches, and not having to have a ton of CD dongles around is a great thing (besides that, it means my CDs are essentially new --- buy, insert into drive, install, put back into package. For some games, usually those that come with redbook audio, I keep an CD image on the disk and do a minimum installation if that's offered).

I don't think you can play multiplayer with a no-cd.exe file, but the game will work better if you move the mpq files

I wouldn't recommend talking about no-cd cracks here. Use the legal way, in Rex's link.

I used the method used in Rex's link last night. Now my CD is in its jewel case and I'm a happy bunny :)
