View Full Version : What to do with eth crystalsword?
Just found a eth crystal sword. I know that phaseblades are indestructable. It seems like there is no formula for upgrading normal weaps nor runewords.
The first thing i was thinking was eth cresent moon but it not possible as far as i can tell.
Whats the best to do with it? Imbue and pray for godly mods and then upgrade?

Throw it away. An imbue quest on a crap item, and two upgrades if you really get decent stuff, just for a merc weapon? Come on...
Pray, then imbue it with a moderate lvl char. Pray again, and then look at it.

do you really know what are good mods on an eth phase blade?come on... It can beat any weapon in the game for certain (not uncommon) builds.
A +2 barb 40ias 5xx%ed would be really sweet for my frenzy barb, but it is just dreams guess

Imbuing it will preserve its ethereal mod? If yes, what happen when upgrading it 2 times to get phase blade if phase blades have no durability...
Imbueing preserves eth mod (which is why I always advise people to imbue eth weapons - 99/100 times imbues are crap, but that 1 time the mods are great, you want it to be on an eth weapon just in case. You'll kick yourself when that 4xx% ed self repair weapon is on a normal weapon).
When you upgrade an eth rare crystal/dimensional to phase, the phase retains the eth bonus BUT IS INDESTRUCTIBLE as well.
