Where to stand when baaling with hammerdin

What would be the best place to stand? Ive wiped out all but a few of the second wave of baals minions alone, but i forgot where i was standing to get the hammers placed right. Should i stand right in front of baals throne, off the the left[bottom] a little..its hard to level after 90 when im not killing..

I normally stand in front of and off to the lower right of the throne, and spin the hammers prior to the minions showing up, so the they appear within the hammer field.
The hammers spiral out in a clockwise direction from about the 9:30 - 10:00 area, and then go around three times before vanishing.

Doing this and using redemption and meditation when needed helps. ... As does having a full 8 player game.

Simple rule: Trial & Error

Run into baal and spam hammers. If Baal takes damage and its shockwave does not push you away, it is a good position to stand. :surprise:

When dealing with baal himself, I just click right on his name, and teleport there. Otherwise, you can stand as close to him as possible, right to the "south" of him.

With the final minions (venom lords and lister), I like to stand back so I can see where they spawn in the corner of my screen. I stand in the open area in the middle and set up my hammer field. Stupidly, the lords and listers charge at me through my hammer field and usually die before they get to me. This is the safest way to kill these guys. As for baal himself, do what Diabolico said.
