Hi Guys,
I have been running countess NM for a while now and have noticed sometimes after running through 5 floors of fun she keeps her runes grrrrrrrrrr
Am I doing something wrong?

Yes, you are ignoring the semantic difference between "can drop" and "does drop".
There is only ONE monster in the game where "can drop" and "does drop" are the same, and that's diablo clone. For all other monsters, the "can drop" is usually much better than the "does drop" in almost all cases.

Actually not the only one. Duriel always drops a scroll of town portal. I can't think of more such monsters right now though.
is the bug fixed where, countess drop turns into a bishiboss drop if you go explore to two extra rooms filled with gold, I know it used to be like this in .09... best is to just kill countess straight away and then go pick up the gold.

Mephisto always drops a green breastplate.

He probably robs them from random monsters in act 2

first time you kill andy, she always drops a normal gem + 2 chipped.

If we take first time kills into account, then Hephasto (hammer) and Meph (soulstone) can be added as well.

WRONG! I killed Duriel one time to comlete a normal quest on my own and he dropped absolutely NOTHING! No cash, no town portal, NOTHING! Now that was a great drop!

Yeah. Normal difficulty, a couple hours into 1.10 Season 2. Completely un-twinked, and Duriel dropped a Tarnhelm and Deathspade for my Avenger. Those were worth a lot to me at the time...

I know Duriel in nm or hell, for dropping various unique rings, like dwarf stars and ravens, and for dropping a homonculus one time.
