My new PvP Zon. Unsure on best Gearz

Hey all. I've decided to try out a Charged Strike Zon for Low-Mid Dueling. I originally thought i'd go lvl 42 for Titans as I couldn't think of a possible weapon for a lower level. I've since decided against that idea for obvious reasons such as the breaking point of available gear around 38-42 (shaft at 38, vitas at 39, and skill gcs at 42 and of course Titans). I'd rather have more of a ghetto build at around lvl 37 so that i'll get more duels and not have to duel such high levels and/or dangerous opponents such as mid zerkers etc.

As far as gear goes i'm thinking that +skills are going to be the thing that will make or break this build.

Here are my gear ideas thus far:

Weapon: rare/magical Javs with +2 Jav and Ias

Gloves: +2 Jav 20Ias, will the lvl req on these be 35?

Shield: Mosers with 2 x 15ias or Sigons with 1 x 15ias

Angelic Jewelery, Waterwalks.

Helm: PCrown with a PRuby

As for armor i'm not sure what I should use. Most +Skill armors at that level are kinda weak for pvp. The unique link mail is a possibility as i'm aiming for 52% Ias which is the bp for 10 frames so 30ias in shield and 30ias in armor will be enough for that. This also means that I don't have to find 20ias, +2 jav gloves which won't be easy to get and probably aren't cheap.

My other Idea was to use Deaths Gloves + Sash for the Ias bonus which would take me to the final bp of 89Ias (forget frames for that one) and the ever useful Cannot be frozen mod.

On weapon switch i'll use a LR wand with Whitstans.

On a side note: When I was working out the Ias Bps on a calc there was no option for charged strike attack. I'm assuming this is because the poke is a normal attack with the CS added on the end. Those Ias bps are based on using Ceremonial Javs so i'll probably have to rethink build based on what weapon I come up with.

Also if anyone on west ladder finds some javs like the ones i'm looking for pls hold on to them and i'm sure we can work out a deal.

If anyone has any suggestions on this build it would be a big help. Thanks for reading.

Javs at that level can have +4, 2 from an affix and 2 automod (zon only javs)

2 jav 20 ias gloves are lvl 35, unless another mod increases their level. As for getting em, the best way (unless you're rich) is to gamble on nothing but gloves with a lvl 47 (or higher, but the chances are lower) character. I got my pair, after spending about 3.5 mil, so get to work! ^^

Why angelic jewelry? Unless you need the life there are better choices available. Ar does not help the bolts hit.

I believe the highest bp is 95, but I could be wrong. With the set up you listed:

Deaths combo = 30
mosers x2 15 ias jewels = 30
spirit forge x2 15 ias jewels = 30

So your javs would need to have 5 ias. Or if you're right and its 89, it doesn't need any ias at all.

Also, I'm curious as to where your resists are. I see 25 from mosers and maybe 30 from anyas and 15 from deaths combo, for a total of 70 res all in normal. Now that might be good enough, but if you plan on going to nm you might want to fix that with some charms or else the first decent caster you fight will give you deeds.

Well the zon will be built towards dueling melee and i'll basically be dueling in norm only so the 60-70 all should be suffice. I may get a 4 x Thul armor as backup.

As for angelics, of course I need the life!! Imo pvp chars need as much life as viable. Of course a +2 Jav ammy would be a nice boost to damage but then what kind of rings are decent and easily attainable at that level?? (lvl 37).

As for skill allocation i'll obviously max CS get dodges to a good % and then dump the rest in to synergies. What % should I am for on the dodges?

2 jav ammys do not exist. You could however, get a very good rare with 1 zon, life, resists, etc. and use that with your rings.

As for the passives, I have no idea. I tend to 1/1/1 em and let skill adders do the rest, but then I have yet to make a hc javazon. Now my lvl 45 does about 1-3500 a bolt, with a godly set up. This seems like a lot, but it seems anyone with a tgods is barely effected, if at all. It does very evil things to those without resists, but since this is normal that isn't likely to happen. Perhaps I'm not positing myself correctly so all 11 hit?

Yeah I thought about that when I mentioned the ammy. Wondered why i'd never seen one before. Are there any other skill trees that don't have a +3 ammy? I guess i'll try and search for a nice +1 Zon ammy.

RE: armors: what about twitch? 20 ias, extra blocking (= life), str/dex (= more life) and fhr. All around great armor.

ah, yes and i have +2 skill, 20ias, 9% fire resist rare gloves on west (currently in use though :cheesy: )

These are my suggestions for a PvP Charged Strike Amazon. I'd say for level aim for 42 or 44 or 45. You'll see why.

Helm: If you decide to go sub-44 then an IAS'd Peasant Crown is the ideal helm for you to use. It has fr/w, skills, life, mana, and 15% ias thanks to the jewel. I'd say go to 44 for an ethereal +2 Zon skills Valkyrie Wing. This helm combines fr/w, fhr, +2 skills, and high defense in one neatly wrapped package.

Armor: There are three that pop into my mind. ethereal IAS Vipermagi for the resists if you need them, ethereal IAS Spirit Shroud for the defense, CBF, and skills, and Twitchthroe, for the stats, blocking (Although you'll have high dex), ias, and fhr. My top pick would be the Spirit Shroud for the reasons I stated.

Shields: Sigon's shield with an IAS jewel to hit the 52% IAS bp would be ideal for me. I don't know any other shields with +skills and good block.. if only Lidless was a good blocker! It's much better looking and no blocking penalties..

Boots: Waterwalk is a great choice. 15 Dex and tons of life! My favorite pick. Another good one is a pair of Sanders. Dual stat and 100 AR, plus 40% fr/w, is a great, and cheap, choice.

Gloves: There is no getting around this one. Aim for +2 jav skills with 20% IAS. If they are rare, rather than magic, try to snag one with stats too. You need the skills AND the ias though, so shop shop shop! If you go to 45 you can use the fabled +3 jav skills 20% ias magic gloves. They are shoppable and very nice.

Rings: If you're 45 go dual Raven for the dex and ar. The mana can help too. If you're sub 45 try some nice rares with ar/life, etc. I don't really know what to say for those. You could try the angelic combo if that works well for you.

Belt: I'm a big fan of Bladebuckle. It has no DR like string, but it has dual stats and 30% fhr! A great pick in my opinion. Another great pick is the String coming in with 15% dr max.

Weapon: Duh.

I believe you should be aiming for a level 28 CS and 52% IAS. Max block, high FHR, and high D/A/E are great assets too. Something I always aim for. CS is a very deadly skill and on a zon that can't get hit it's even more deadly. Mid level CS zons are extremely efficient. Have fun with her.

Edit: One more thing... you don't have to go to 45. If you want to stay 42 do so. Hell, I'd like to go to 45, but then there is 47 for tgod's and then 48 for a tele ammy, etc. Pretty soon you're 62 for snarko and stuff.

I was in a bit of a hurry last night, and didn't word my response as well as I would have liked. The only benefits the angelic ammy provides is damage taken goes to mana, and 75 life, since the ar doesnt help. Seeing as a magic ammy can have damage taken goes to mana and up to 100 life, that would be the better choice. Or if you don't need/already have DTM, you could instead aim for 1 zon. If you're more patient, you can try for a nice rare with 1 zon prismatic and life. The best available at 37, IIRC and IMO would be:

1 zon
12% DTM
20 res all
60 life
9 str
9 dex

Of course, such an ammy is rarer than zod, so if you can just get a match on 3 mods you're doing good.

As for the rings, well they give 20 life each, and replenish (and 10 dex together with ammy). If you play ladder nvm but on non sojs aren't so hard to come by. Also not sure, but I believe rares can do better, if you willing to put the effort into it.

Yea those javs are godly to me :) super godly even!

The gloves and weapon I have so far are:

20Ias/+1Jav/3dex and throwing spear with +2 Jav skills. Spent about an hour shopping malah in NM last night. Found the gloves on meffo.
