lol there's only one guy here besides me.
For those of you who absolutely can't bear with the forum down time, you can just bookmark this site with ip address.
I think someone already mention before that the site itself is up and running, it's just the dns server that screwed up.
So next time when the forum is up, do the following:
open up a command prompt, type "ping www.rpgforums.net"
save the ip address x.x.x.x
Replace your bookmark

When I try and save the bookmark with the ip address it says something like: cannot use / \ * etc ect in name. Can you pls explain how to replace the bookmark with the ip address.
Edit: Nvm I just took out the chars that weren't allowed and it seems to work. Thanks for the info!! No more boring work days without the forun.

Start --> run --> commandcmd.exe always seems to run more smoothly than command.com, or maybe that's just my machine?
Either way winkey>r>cmd>enter is quicker than winkey>r>command>enter =)
Thanks for the tip rpgforumsnet

You must open the command prompt before, so it won't disappear. It's like thge Linux Bash shell. After that you can type the command: "ping <address>", or "tracert <address>"
You can redirect the standard output (from the screen) to a file using ">", like this:
ping www.rpgforums.net >C:\rpgping.txt

The forums seem to be have been a bit quiet for the last couple of days so I thought it would be worth it to bump this thread. I started to use the ip address to join the forums and it's been a lot more reliable. I guess if more people find out about this method the busier the forums will be!!
