I was doing a baal run in hell, i was just under lvl70 so i was a bit weak to be there was just leaching exp, until i got a bit higher level.
Btw was using a besker barb.

Then suddenly some1 goes hostile and im ded. All i saw was some flashes.
I Assume he cast lots of bone spirits, quickly tpd and went hostile on me.

Is this a hack of some sort of just very quick fingers/computer.

Personally i dont have much against pk'ing, if u manage to hunt some1 down well done, ive made pk barbs a few times myself.

But isnt this just completely cheap? I dont c the point in this type of PK'ing theres no rush, no adrenaline. In the same way u might as well just hack accounts and wipe em. U may argue whats the point in pking at all, but i can c how it can be exciting to hunt ppl down or simply duel ppl.

No wonder ppl use the chicken hack.
I literally heard the hostile sound and i was ded within half a second if that.

Anyways your thoughts? on this cowardly way to pk??

See Dick.

See Jane.

See whip.

See dead horse.

See Dick beat dead horse.

See Jane beat dead horse.

See Dick and Jane beat dead horse.

Sorry for the sarcasm. This topic has been beaten to death here. Yes, TPPK sucks. I’m surprised you made to level 70 with out seeing it. Sorry about your character.

It's a hack.. it's called tppk. It's happened to everyone here and, as terry said, it bites the big one.

I personally would rather duel then tppk someone, but oh well, whatever floats your boat, I guess. Get used to this sort of thing if you play a lot of pubbie games.

Oh, and also, I agree.. that's a pretty weak way of killing someone. Earn your ears, don't rip 'em off and steal them!

Sorry about your character. TM is actually being overly optimistic on the prognosis for said horse. At this point, it is not even, in fact, a horse-shaped stain on the ground. The lash-marks on the ground that used to be the stain have now worn into deep, deep groove, that we would all like to place GFrazier into...

anyway, I'd offer some kind advice on how to avoid this in the future, but it's pretty summed up by "(1) don't expose yourself to a$$hole$. (2) assume everyone on bnet is an a$$hole, until proven otherwise" It's actually a microcosm of the the real world, so the sooner you learn rules 1&2, the better.

How does the hack work..?
Id like 2 know so i could avoid it. When i c a necro/sorc standing behind me firing high dmg slow missle spells ill be more aware=D.

first step at avoiding it is to watch out for minionless necros. i never play with those unless i know them. dont stand under a blizzard from a sorc i guess is the next thing to look for. zons using guided arrow.

i guess there is alot of other attacks, but these seem to be the most used ones. iirc someone said that all chars have one or more skills to tppk with.

in theory any class can tppk with widowmaker. Basically if you're in norm/nm be wary of any high lvls. Bonenecs are 90% of the time tppkers almost no one makes bone necs now b/c they'll be thought of a pker. Be wary of anyone firing anything at you, most likely they are getting their bearings down for tppking. Sorc's can tppk using a variety of spells (charged bolt, firebolt (not sure about ball, glacial spike, blizzard) not to mention team tppkers that like to enchant a zon friend then have them tppk. Basically its just a matter of being very careful, personally I never play public games partied unless its a quest game when you can tell if people tppk or not. Best be on your guard but just know this ga zons and bone necs are mostly tppkers so if you see avoid them at all costs.

Most GA zons, really?

I'm not trying to question anyone, just a bit concerned cause my favorite char is a GA/strafazon. Even my javazon has several points in GA. On top of that I only play pub games.

So far none of my characters have made it very far but am I going to scare people away down the road?

Unless you're not using really good gear because people will just scan your gear and if you're using ubar 1337 57ufF5 they will chicken before you hostile

see thing is most ppl check for gear which is easy to see unless they glitch it for the non-mhers. 2nd off you can tell a tppker if you know the pattern. 3rd and final is if you only use guided arrow then I'd guarentee its a tppker. However most tppk zons will tend to sit back and wait for the right time to tppk since they don't care about lvling most will use a jav to try and throw ppl off then switch to bow when no ones looking and tppk, but then again sitting back leeching with decent gear on is a sign of a tppker in wait. And yes if I see any zon using guided arrow I will refuse to play with them unless they are not using good gear or low lvl.

If they're autoaiming at you already, that's a pretty good sign! :)

is there a way to check for autoaim?

Basically you have to avoid anyone acting suspiciously.

In nm baal runs you have to be especially careful as that is where a lot of tppkers seem to hunt.

If a necro joins the party, 1. keep away from him, 2. if he starts shooting even 1 bone spirit of spear, go to town or leave game - don't wait for the inevitable barrage of spirits.
Don't leech in nm baals if you haven't used up many stat points. Tppker's usually go for easiest kills.

Yes, but it requires cheating. I have heard that some versions of tppk also have AA detection.
