Bengals will be at the bottom of the division
but as long as hes positive im sure you dont care...
Until Dallas gets a quarterback, and someone for him to throw to, I'm not interested.
Besides, how dare Jerry Jones talk about moving to Arlington?!
Bastard!!!

Dallas has Vinny Testeverde, a veteran. Lets see if Parcells can coach him back to quarterback status, hes been benchwarming for awhile. Parcells would have done it back in 1998 i believe when he coached the jets for a year, but testeverde got injured the first game of the season...

Highly doubtful now that the Steelers have a HEALTHY O-LINE, their pocket passing qb should be able to get a pass off. He also has a new target for dump passing while being blitzed, Duce Staley. Be Affraid Be Very Affraid :surprise:
GO EAGLES GO!
This SHOULD be their season seeing that they FINALLY have a good receiver that McNabb can connect with.

The eagles whole division is looking good this season. What happened to the eagles in preseason when they played the steelers??? Don't think the eagles are gonna be better then there last 3 seasons, they wont. They are down to Buckhalter as their running back. Most of their lbs are injured. One reciever does not make a team.
The redskins/cowboys have a better chance. Redskins picked up Clinton Portis, and they acquired Joe Gibbs. The cowboys have about the same shot as last year. The Giants may even have a chance now that they have gotten rid of Collins.
That whole division is looking good.

Let's see. piff's new friends: cynicalcat1 and Andy 225
Yeah, what happened to the Eagles last Thursday? They lost the first half against the Steelers, the half that counts. They lost the whole game, too, but it's the first half that matters. Only thing about hte Eagles that impressed me was how strong McNabb was. No one could sack him...
Our division went from horrible, with the Ravens, Stellers, Bengals, and Browns, to what's looking like one of the toughest divisions. All the teams except the Browns have a shot at winning the division. I, personnally, am picking the Ravens for the Super Bowl, because I can't see too many teams scoring on them, regardless of how bad Kyle Boller really is.
Anyway, Steelers vs. Panthers tomorrow, who's gonna win? Hoping Steelers, but I think Panthers.

Cowboys will rule you fool.
I'm starting to believe they can do it, if the running game isn't as pitiful as I think it might be, 3 yds/carry for George seems to be the standard, their defense will be good and the passing game looked solid

Well, I personally don't have the time to watch football, but I will be sending a delegation of 60-75 Canadian kids down to Buffalo on the weekend of October 16th to watch a game between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins. 279$ per person, 1 night in hotel room for 4, ticket to all night party at Six Flags, ticket to football game, ticket to aftergame party hosted by some beer company or another (Canadian beer, be certain). And, for every 15 tickets I sell, I'm getting 1 free ticket for myself that I can use however I want... Meaning 1 for me, and the rest for whomever I feel like bringing... God I love being VP sometimes. And I don't work that weekend too, so I'll actually be able to go! :teeth:

No, we didn't choose the week, the tour company did. But that's fine. We're really only going down there to guzzle excessive amounts of alcohol and make the papers again. Last time we sent a busload of kids was to a game last spring in Boston, I think. Hockey season. Match between the Bruins and les Canadiens. Apparently the 30 kids were so loud and bothersome at the game, that we made the papers in Boston as "a group of drunken Canadians" or something along those lines... I've gotta get Jeff to forward me the copy of the article he said he had...

Hey piff, I think we need a friendly Bengals/Steelers wager. Whaddya say?
Actully the Birds are down to Wesbrook. Buckhalter is the one that's out.
As for the Steelers game...
Its still preseason guys and considering all the injuries Philly has had over the past few weeks I doubt they seriously care about winning the preseason games. It may even help them if they play horribly so the other teams underestimate them. What the Eagles DONT want right now is any more injuries.
As for the Steelers...
I my dad is a really big Steelers fan since he grew up in Pittsburgh and all. My dream has always been to see a Steelers/Eagles super bowl. Now how cool would it be to see the two PA teams duke it out?

Glad to have ya in Tampa, where I'm from. I think that you have a great shot at getting a Super Bowl ring for a 4th year...but I don't think it will come via the Bucs. I'm a huge fan of the Bucs but I think they go 10-6 AT BEST, and that's if everything works out perfectly. Pats will take that division but will have a tougher time with the Jets than a lot of people are expecting. Bengals will finish 3rd to Pittsburgh, who will be beaten out by Baltimore. And the Cowboys will be fine. They'll make it into the playoffs...they have a chance at the division but I have to give that to Philly right now. Panthers will take the South, Seahawks the West. /end rambling

Yeah, but in Philly they throw batteries as opposing coaches and boo Santa Claus! And there's always a fight going on somewhere.
Andy, preseason doesn't count. People are more focused on not getting injured than winning. Besides, Brian Westbrook was out that game.
On top of that all, Hugh Douglas is back.
The NFC East is mostly in transition, since three of the four teams got new coaches and at least two got new QBs. Expect the Eagles to be as rock-solid as ever, possibly going 13-3 or 14-2.

The Chargers have been stinking up San Diego about wanting a new stadium too and have been courted by LA for the last three years. I don't think most of San Diego will miss them (till there gone). Then they'll see the revenue that a Pro Ball Team actually does for a city even when they suck.

thats when I started in as a Saints fan, when Brooks broke out and they started clobbering the Rams, I picked them for the superbowl the next year, and if the season was only 12 games long then maybe...
Panthers: 16
Steelers: 13
Parker gave up a fumble inside the five to turn it over. Like I said in the other NFL thread, the first half is the ebst sign of what will happen in the regualr season, and the Steelers lead after the first two quarters.

That division is going to be tough. I expect a dogfight between the Pack and the Vikes for #1, with the Bears causing more trouble than people expect. The Lions will be better than usual, too.
Also, I think the Rams wil flop this year. Bulger throws a lot of INT's, Jackson won't be able to cover for Faulk and the defense will suck. Seattle takes that division by at least 2 games.

Yea you had #1 for the 2nd straight draft. Lucky bastard. Your team looks pretty solid. Everything looks good for my team except my WR's, I only have 1 real number 1 WR (Andre Johnson). The rest are either shaky #1's (Galloway) or decent #2's (Burress, Walker, Wayne). Ah well, it's not like I have 4 OTHER leagues in which to make up for it...oh wait I do.
BTW, I will soon be linking the OTF league site here with everyone's team names so the whole OTF forum can watch as I own teh b00ns. Will be up shortly...first though I have to finish classes. Oh what joy, Friday afternoon college courses.
