Pick up blue circlets.

As I said in another thread, I picked up a blue circlet from NM Eldritch. BAM!
+3 cold skills 87 life

Turned into a quick SS which retraded into a shako and low end war travs.

Did I get a good deal or not enough in your opinion?

This old man is happy.

Side note: I made a purchase this weekend of a DVD of an Old show that was on before most of you were born, but was a favorite way back in the good old days. Now my 3 1/2 year old son is a junkie of............

Land of The Lost.

Can't you just hear the song now?

Marshal Will and Holley, on a routine expedition
Met the greatest earthquake ever known.

Etc etc

Sid and Marty Krofft ruled!

What about Ultraman, Jonny Sakko, and Space Giants (Goldar Silvar and Gam)? Can I get a whole basket of cookies? Well this old coot would rather have habaneros to make into hot sauce!

I am cursed with remembering everything I watched when I was young, and I watched a TON of cartunes.

The demise of Saturday morning cartoons is one of the saddest things to happen IMHO. Good times and getting up at 6am on Saturday to watch cartoon and eat 4 bowls of Peanut Butter Captain Crunch!

*flashback*

There is a memory... can taste the peanut butter... remembers the cuts in the roof of my mouth from the cereal caused by taking too big of spoon fulls... sucking all the milk out of the cereal... watching Jonny Quest...

*back*

The things my kids are missing...

Gib peppers to me too, go go chili heads! :buddies:

I was taught to let the Captain soak for awhile prior to eating. 5-10 minutes will reduce it from an 80 grit to a 220. Racer "X" rocks! I only go for the original Popeyes. When they cleansed the violence, it just wasn't fun anymore.

Ahh fond memories of Scooby Doo as well

I actualy have a sheet of ~ 200 cartoons / kid shows thta I wrote down.

Did you know that El Kabong was the same horse / character as Quick Draw McGraw? Remember his sidekick Baba Looie? Remember the dog that quickdraw McGraw used to get to do things for Biscuits? They were kinda like Scooby snacks.

It it wasn't for those meddling kids.........I'd have gotten away with it too!

At the end of EVERY episode.

Ok I'm done til the next time.

But I gotta say.........

Frutti Pebbles are for NOOOOBS :flip:

Some of those are too new for me, but what about the precursor to He-man, and yes he wasn't first.

THUNDAR THE BARBARIAN! Don't forget Ukla the Mok too.

I'd hardly consider that nothing. Shako and travs sounds about right (I think), but especially if it had 2 sockets thats a nice piece of gear. It's simply a matter of finding some rich mid level dueler to trade it to. I got 2 sojs (when soj=high rune) for a rare sorc orb with +2 cold +3 blizz +2 cold armor life/mana so anythings possible.

I regret sleeping in everyday until 1-2pm when i was a kid now..

i got my first paper route at 8 years old and it was a morning paper so i got up at 4 am every day, done at 6 or before, didnt hit the bus until like 7:30 when I had school I had a paper route from 8-18 and then even some later while in college. Man I had my legos out and the toons on many days after passin papers.

LEGOS:

You know all these "theme" lego sets have ruined the imagination of kids. When i goet into Legos they didnt have themes, they were just blocks, and then they came out wiht this, suburb housing build set. I looked at those blocks that may the roof of the houses and i didnt see a roof, I saw the from of a space vehical. I turned a suburban housing community into a freaking big ars space ship with fighter support, and even escape pods. Parts of the ship would seperate and would be a sef contained battle cruiser of its own.

Talking abotu OT threads...........

Oh ya, last season early som guy offerd me this +2 all (2) socket Blue Circlet. I slapped in a couple Saphiers and felt like i was a God until i finally got a Shako. See, the ole Classic player I am makes me happy just to have a helm with +skills let alone one with +skills and mana.....

Wow another blast form the past!

LEGGOS!

hahahaha My little brother and I made an art form out of leggo smash-em-up-derby.

We would pick one piece at a time and then retire to our rooms for building. after all sorts of devious methods to get your pieces to stay together better (my glue always worked best) we woud go to the kitchen and sit about 10 feet apart and launch them at each other on the floor. Once the first hit happened you were not allowed to tighten anything up. Oh the missed that ended up whacking our knees hurt! But oh the fun.

Last thing resembling a car won!

One person's trash is another's gold isnt it?

LEGO...

Those were the BEST things ever...

though overpriced, buying em in mass quantities, especially in large "tubs" they were great! Building things from houses, to castles, to Robots which i would dissasemble to form planes like Transformers!

Then came the transformers, those things were so neat! First its a Ape, now its a big-a$$ robot with dual swords and eam cannons flaring form its shoulders! Or a Devil Ray into a robot which shoots discs from it's chest..

neato~

I wish I still had all my old transformers, I had so many of them! They are worth some $$$$ now but I want them just because they rock and would display them proudly even the optimus prime that I lost the trailor to.

I still never figured out why they came with directions though...it's not exactly rock science trying to find out with part turned which way.

Yes!! I liked setting them up with friends and shooting rubber bands across the room to knock each others soldiers down. I mean, sometimes we "accidently" hit each other in the forehead with rubber bands but it was all part of the game. Obviously last one standing...wins.

Well, thr really hilarious part about SM cartoons since the mid 90's is the BLATANT advertising ploy that they all are. Of course, the best parody of this is "Cheat Commandos!" Pretty much sums up the general cartoon viewage nowadays.

circlets: nice find! I always pick up circs, gamble for them, and imbue higher ones (diadems, etc), because my sorcs & zons are sooooo much seck-C-R with them on than those damn hats. Hate those things.

I'm going to be irritated all day because i can't remember the villious catch phrase!

I don't remember anyone mentioning Bullwinkle - another great toon.

Personally, I have never thought much of the cartoons of the mid-eighties to the present. But then again, my cartoon watching was mostly the early to mid seventies.
