Yeah - I Got One.....

YA - I know every1 has heard bout DC and all since S-1... but I still have to tell my tale. Well, here it goes....




I was lucky enuf to find a HOT IP game with my BO Barb... he sat there while I slept... I got up to use the restroom... so I thought, " hey, I might as well check my game"....


BOOM... I turn the monitor on and I see



DIABLO WALKS THE EARTH




I scramble to get on my main boot-up and logged on with my zon.... I checked my F-List and all seemed barren except for good ol' Nerf. Luckily he was awake and gaming...

He brings in his Necro and we start gathering an army for him...

I spawned DC in Bish's place, with my BO barb, Nerf's 10 skelz / my zon - barb merc and valk... we took on DC. After the 1st wave of Nerf's skelz went down... DC was @ 1/2 life.

Next round of skellz - joined by 15 revives of fallen ( kinda ironic ) we headed back to DC. My barb merc dies... and I almost had the same fate, my BO time had run out... with BO resumed... it was due time for DC to take the big sleep... with CS hitting as fast as possible with the accompanied LR - DC finally succumbed.

His gift a 11 / 15 / 9 Anni :thumbsup:

Killed DC many times in CLassic and Xpac but I havent seen him once in Season 2 Xpac.....oh well...nice anni, I like the high exp ones, usually by the time u kill him you already have the resisits!!!

that was exciting and educational for me -- was the first time i had even left town in a hell game since i came back after my one year hiatus -- on top of that, my necro had just finished NM baal and was still decked out in his l337 nm MFin gear (tarn and 4 topaz gothic plate)

kinda funny i fought the d-clone before fighhting hell diablo!

that lizard is frikkin ROUGH man -- 3 different times i redlined taking 1500+ damage hits from his lightning attack (only had like 27 light resist) -- woulda killed me without the BO

was nice to see wing get an anni tho!! -- gratz again man

maybe some day ill be able to score one

I really should have asked how your rez were b4 we took DC on... glad all went well... that viper I gave ya would have helped, but of course you got it - after DC fell.

How is that people almost die, but I can stand still and tank him with an orb sorc? Just get max res and atleast 400 damage orb and he goes down fast with a lower res wand. Bo speeds it up so you don't need any potions.. Anyway, congrats on the charm!

Congrats on the charm. I have yet to see DClone ever (Just started playing a month ago after being gone since mid .09) I dunno if I would even take him on if I saw him.

1. Cast Lower Resist.
2. Static to 50% hp.
3. Line sorc up so that orbs will be most effective, which is the hardest part.
4. Keep casting orb and watch his life go down.

The only thing he kept casting on me all four times I killed him was his lightning hose and the flame carpet.. sometimes the Armegeddon, but very rarely. With Battle Orders I don't use any pots unless I use Energy Shield, but that's just a waste for me when it's all elemental damage and you have 85/75 fire/lightning resist. I'll use about 8-10 potions when tanking him without BO, most of them mana due to Energy Shield.

This all depends on gear however, but I'd say that if you're after DClone you should have really nice gear anyway. Especially if you quest hell.. drops are through the roof in 1.10. :)
