Mfing with my meteorb in new ladder season is turning to be more and more frustrating.

Not only am I finding crap... I'm Dieing like crazy.... I finally resolved myself to Running only eld and shenk cuz i can actually survive those battles.... andy is a pain cuz i tele into packs of those lightning monsters... they are easy to kill but not when I lock up and can't move or cast cuz i'm getting hit so often.

Last ladder I had a full tal's sorc and love mfing with her... I currently have all but tal's armor... Now my sorc did not find any of tal's except for a def 99 mask... which was poorer than the one my necro discovered.

In 3 hours of running eld and shenk the only things i turned up were IK maul and belt, chancies 28%, and some decent rares that at least sold for 35 k.

I'm hurting for resists... but I switch to resist gear and my killing power goes down and the mf is crappy.

So I'm at a loss.... Still searching for tal's armor and trying to break lvl 80.... well 81 now...

maybe u should run meph and baal in nightmare(i assume u are running in hell)
to get some reasonable "tradeable's" and trade those for tal armor.
and when u have tal armor its much easer to run hell.
since u have more res and skill.

well... try to trade ur cold skiller for mal rune
then u can afford urself tal armor:d
besides i think the value of tal armor has dropped to um... so u dont need to worry, as jordy said the bosses in nm are real nice, i found some great stuff at them :lol:

that's just the thing... I ran nm till i was blue in the face literally... Sad thing is I found nothing useable.... NOT even chancies.... I only started finding stuff in hell as I slowly progressed through....

I tried tristram running for a while but got way to bored....

btw... total mf chance atm is around 337 even with the crappy gear....

Right now I'd kill for a skulders.....

I can't stand trades...ppl are usually there to rip me off... or at least that's what I think... What is cheap to them is very valuable to me... Like um's ... I would never trade one unless i had like 3 to begin with... by then I'd cube 2 and keep the extra....

well i hooked up with a buddy who is also lookin for tal's armor... he's lucky and found a cerebus which by what i figure is an even trade.... at least i know he'll get the um/mal for trading.

any how we went baal running and mf nm game like mad... and finally found decent stuff.... 39% chancies, jalal's, titan's and traps skiller... so I am renewed and continuing my search.

Ok update... shako found yay me even if the def is crappy (99)...

Tal armor finally traded for after 4 days of trade games... price 1 um.. yay!....

First meph run = trang armor (second set for my poisoner)

First hell andy run OMG 6 uniques... 3 total crap... 1 perf eth bloodletter, lavagout, nagel ring 23%

then slow after that but i think its like shooting your wad... takes a while to recover afterwards....

Did find a 1/2/2 tal orb, 2/2/1 orb, and a 2/1/2 orb... looking for a perf one so I can Ist it... (you think i'm stupid now don't ya?)

oh have desciple set now cept for gloves.... so pally will be happy soon.

Resists in hell are maxed cept poison... so I'm back to feeling normal.....

for the TP problem... I use full tals... but for TP, I switch to wizardspike and a whitstans guard... I can TP pretty damn fast and the shield gives max block incase I do TP in a pack of monsters.... this seems to be a pretty good combo for staying alive and killing quick.

i never find anything good from eld or shenk. i'd try putting thresh socket into your circuit as well. also, there are some easy kills like snapchip shatter (north-north-west of eldritch, normally), and the little fire demon man in between shenk and town.

Congrats on finally getting the tals armor, I know how frustrating trading can be..

I've been having really ****ty luck also with my mfer sorc. she's got full tals, two 25+mf nagels, lidless, 40 chancies and 42 travs.. I've got great resists due to charms and such, I socketed my orb with a facet so killing power is pretty good.. I've got roughly 400 mf and don't find anything! one day I did 200 hell meph runs straight, and I found one occy, one low def shako, and the rest was alllll crap. it's extremely frustrating :(

I don't know what it is about mfin sometimes i'll mf and find all sorts of good stuff(sojs arachs, occy, shakos) other times i mf and mf and don't comeup with squat, whats funny to me is it seems like its only certain times on certain days of the week that u get good stuff cause i'm actually(sadly enough) starting to see a pattern of when I'm actually finding decent stuff.

There is no pattern. You want to believe there is a pattern, like all of us have done from time to time. The only pattern, so to say, that exists, is your luck and thats about it. Otherwise there is no returning or coherent pattern. You would wish and believe there is one, but thats just an illuion like all the other MFing myths that exist.
All you can see from these tiems where you find alot and where you find nothing is simply that the amount of MF on your char counts very little towards you finding anything useful, since its only a small part in the equation.

I see patterns too... kinda like this...
My inventory is full of spaces for finds... I find nothing
My inventory only has like 4 slots left.... but I do a few runs anyway.... I find a lot of good stuff and have to decide what good stuff gets left behind.

I see a similar pattern... Like when ladder ended.. I did a countess run.. Bang Tal armor from a boss and Hoz from countess herself not to mention the ist... then i realized my sorc was no longer ladder.... >.<

Pattern i see is luck is like sex, you never seem to get enough when you really need it.
