Echoing Weapons?

I've heard that you can shop echoing (+3 warcries) weapons. If so, who should I shop them from and what lvl should I be to shop them?

I prefer going to Act 1 and seeing that opening to blood moore is close to Charsi. Then i run out of town and back checking each time for an echoeing weapon.

Usually after about 15 mins of that you will have urself 1-2 echoing 1h weapons.

I dont know what lvl you have to be to use it, i think around 45, but to get it in shopw i have no idea.

Act 5. Larzuk and Malah. I buy echo weapons from them to trade. :lol:

I do not know the level requirement, but you can buy echoing javelin-class weapons from anya in act V hell.

Just takes you a trip through the red portal and back.

IMO the best method is Anya, as already staded, but you can also open a cow portal next to Charsi - it's the same as with Anya then.

I shopped with Anya Act 5 hell, for my Echoing Glaives ( I was picky, and wanted 2 glaives).

Just in and out of the portal

Took me about an hour and a half to get 2 of them. Don't get frustrated and settle for +2's, just keep trying.

I just hit Larzuk and Anya between Baal runs. Everyonce once in a while I find one that way. Specifically looking for them on their own gets too tedious.

Always check Anya, Malah and Larzuk every time you're in Act 5 Hell. I got so many that way, I rarely buy them any more, even if they do occur.

Yeah, sure. IIRC the Trojans didn't have to pay for the horse, but letting them pay for it is even more sophisticated, I admit.

I found both of my echoing weapons on Charsi when I was looking for my Artisan's Tower Shield of Deflecting.

So even though my other equipment is poor, my sorc has max resists and max block. Though the search just about broke my sanity.

I have a question.. Can the 'echoing' prefix spawn on any sword? for example crystal swords etc. I've never actually seen an echoing crystal sword. As well, I've seen the sounding prefix (+2 I believe) on a balanced knife.. can echoing spawn on daggers/throwing knives.. If it can, I think I'm going to spend some time and get 2 echoing daggers.. as it would take up the least amount of storage space, and I could simply swap them with 2 wizardspikes (my teleport switch.)

According to Arreat Summit, any amulet, barb helm or weapon can have the echoing prefix, although I can't remember I ever saw it on orbs :lol: But these have their own class IIRC, just as any class-specific item. I never saw an echoing staff or wand as well, so I guess these are special, too, as they add sorc/necro skill bonuses, fcr, chance to flee and can have massive elemental damage bonuses. Perhaps daggers are also special, as IIRC some of the rare and magical ones also have unusual mods.

Better stick to swords, axes and non-amazon javelins, as all of them can be echoing. The smallest ones use up 3 spaces, that should be small enough.

Instead of running to the blood moor and back to shop Charsi, make the Cow level portal just above where she's standing (ie nestled as far into the crook of her smithie as you can get), and just pop in and out (after clearing the cows, if any, out from around the portal entrance). This, of course, is assuming that you have both killed Baal for quest and have not killed the King.

Yes, I always search for crystal swords. +3 to an skill tab makes items yellowish, so it's easy to search only for yellow crystal swords. It saves a lot of time.
