Help! Where to find a 5 soc Beserker Axe for Beast

Please help,

I am trying to make the Beast rune word in a a 5 socket beserker (none eth) axe but just can't find one. I've been running the Hell pits mostly, but nothing. So wheres the best place to go.

Also I found an etheral war axe in the Hell pits is this worth keeping and getting the 6 sockets from act 5 quest then upgrading to Naga then to Beserker for either trade or BOTD

well... according to ATMA, the best chance for finding one would be in hell drifter cavern by killing an abominable. the odds are 1:11077. For bosses it would be hell baal, the chances would be 1:2409. Good luck! Zerker axes are quite valuable even not etheral ones. So be prepared to trade a lot for it. An etheral zerker is worth 2-3 ist runes. So a regular one may be worth one ist rune.

Thanks for the reply, dam looks like i'll have to try the drifter carven for one, is it worth keeping the etheral war axe and upgrading to zerker, the upgrade etheral bug is only for armour not weapons, is this correct. :scratch:

Any of the lvl 85 areas is just as good for this. All monsters can drop them, and with the exception of archer type monsters all have equal chance of dropping a berserker. Btw, Baal, like any act boss/superunique, can't drop a socketed item that can be used for a runeword.

the upgrade does not work for normal items.. if this is useast nonladder i have a 5socket zerk axe for trade

One more thing, there is no upgrade recipe for non-rare, non-unique items.

D'oh I get know, been playing for a while and never though upgrade receipes are only for unique and rare! Silly Me, thanks for pointing that out.

Just found an etheral Champion axe on the way to drifter cavern! :lol:

Is this axe any good for BOTD as the damage does'nt look too great but I guess you will hit the last break point for WW

I see 1-2 zerkers drop in the chaos sanct in hell mode every time i clear it out with my necro :)

Just found a 5 socket BA and 6 socket BA yesterday...and freeze devil I play on Ladder Europe... :howdy:

Both i found in chaos sanctuary in a 4 player game with my hammerpala...
