Homunculus block?

Well this is noobish of me, but what is the dex that a Necro needs to achive max block with his homy? (i know this is was probably posted 100 times in theis forum but i have no time to look :scared: )

It depends on your character level. The following formula should calculate it for you. Replace EquipmentBlock with the total chance to block on all your equipment, including homu, and CLevel with the current/intended level of youyr character.

((CLevel X 150) / EquipmentBlock) + 15 = Dex

Or just do it the easy way without a calculator is put the curser over the defence number on the character screen and it will tell u chance of block when you go the homoculus equipped.

You can still go for max block fine by the cursor method as it recalculates, everytime dex is added. Personally i prefer this way as there no need to calculate beforehand and you'd be sure on how much dex is added.

well my guide has blocking tables for humonc and storm from lvl 70-95, that helps ;)

What if he's wearing a Safety Amulet? :)That is a good question. What would adding any item that gives Increased Chance to Block do? Basically, it just changes the value of EuipmentBlock in the formula EuroJamie gave us... thereby reducing the Dex needed for max block.

But, I think (someone please confirm or otherwise) that Equipment Block is capped at 75% and since a Homunculous already has 72% the gain from the amulet would be small. That amulet can, however, save a lot of dexterity when combined with other popular necro shields such Trangs Wing (60 % Block)

I had not heard of a celing for equipment block, especially since Whitstans alone has up to 97% Block just on the shield.

Yes, you are probaly right and I'm mis-remembering. Or even confusing it with the 75% cap on chance to block. Just ignore what I said ;)
