Overall Blizzard Sorceress

Hi this is what I've decided. It's a PvM mainly, but it SHOULD still be pretty good for PvP (as good as I'll get with a blizz sorc anyways) and I guess I can do MF runs minus the MF

Basic Blizzard stat points

Shako
Tal's Ammy
Wizardspike
15 Ormus' Robe (with Blizzard or something nice if possible)
Lidless
2 SoJ's
Magefist unupgraded
Silkweaves

My highest str require is the Ormus at 77. With Shako I'll have 75 base str and 73 base dex i think, and that gives me a lot of vit. I would've gone ethereal sandstorm, but sandstorm requires 91 strength

So I have a few questions. One, should I socket all my items with Um's to get 75 resist in hell? (I have a 90 res wiz and a 75 one) or should I socket everything with cold facets?

And, is this build that much suckier than pure PvP blizz builds? There aren't too many big differences, and of course I'd use the cold facets for PvP. I've hit the 125% FCR breakpoint i think, and my MF Meteorb did really well in a pubbie game even though I was just playing around. Barbs are annoying though

U should probably mix up the ums and cold facets, like um shield, and helm, cold facet armor and wep or sumtin like that or just have backup equip with all cold facets and a set of equip with all um's.

This porbably wouldnt be the best pvp sorc build b/c u wont be doing too much dmg unless u have 10xcold gcs. IMO a good blizz sorc should kill a dueler 1 hit, b/c 1 hit is all ur prolly gonna get off, b/c it can be hard to aim, etc. The fcr breakpoint will definately help u tho.

Ok thanks. But I guess I forgot to mention a few things. I have 10 cold gc's, and I plan to be just doing baal runs and rushing etc. But I guess I can go pk with friends or in public games for fun from time to time. Is all Um able to kill in PvM? Because I can't afford to buy a bunch of Um's AND a bunch of cold facets, so I guess I'll be using all Um.

All the successful PvM Blizzard sorcs I've met in game use stuff like Doom or lots of 5/5 facets, so I was wondering if I have NO facets, and max Cold Mastery last, will I still be viable in Hell? Or will my 10 charms be enough to cover having no facets?

1 other question i have, what is ur blizz dmg? do u know? it sounds like your build would be able to do hell, but im not 100% sure about that, but the 10 cold gcs will definately help, also u may want to think about getting a Fathom over wiz, and use all ums to make up for losing resis. But the Fathom would be better than wiz prolly IMO.

I would suggest to get maxed resistances in Hell. An UM is certainly a good option. All else i would socket with Cold Facets!
If you really get hold of a 15% Cold damage +3 BLizzard Ormus that would be awesome on your Sorceress build!

I think with Cold facet setup you will be able to fo PvP aswell.

Blizzard does not work with FCR since it is a timered spell, but Iceblast and Glacial Spike will ofcourse work with FCR, but the breakpoint is not 125%fcr, but 105% FCR! The next one after that would be 200%, which is rather hard to reach ;)
