I was wondering if anyone knew if synergies work with skills cast by items. It could give some build some additional flexibility if it did. Thanks if you actual know the answer.

It is true that +skills don't work with synergies, only points invested into a synergy will make a spell do more damage.

What I was looking for was for say StormLash with 20% chance to cast level 18 Tornado. Would Cyclone Armor, Hurricane and Twister synergize with the spell cast by StormLash?

Yes it does. I've made a wind druid b4 that used fury and horizon's tornado on weapon switch just for fun. It will cast a fully synergized lvl 16 tornado.

On the other hand, I've tried bonehew + marrowwalks, that didn't seem to synergize when I was using the druid.

Thanks for the reply. I was just curious on how it works. Maybe I will try it some time. When I have a weapon with another relatively high level spell.

Mayb you can also try out "flaming rabies" designed to work with the lvl 21 psn creeper on the Carrion Wind ring. Check it out in Strategy Compendium. I am still having load of fun with that build.
