everytime in a pub duel game, when one of those chars show up, everyone comes back to town like instantly. That char ends up totally dominating everyone and starts nking ppl as well. Now, its time to vote on which char that will be!

edit: srry if i didnt mention some other chars or if i somehow offended u if u use one of the chars listed above. Note that i didnt make this poll to set up a grudge against a specific char type. I just wanted to figure out whats the most effective pvp char. thx for understanding!

I would nominally say a trapper. But not all trappers. I'm thinking of the trappers who hide passively in a field of traps, placed in such a way that they are in the middle of a high traffic area, mindblasting anyone who comes near, and who then b*tch when people start to absorb them. A good aggressive trapper is fine, I have no problems with trappers who go on the attack. But hiding behind traps and never coming out PLUS forcing people to come within trap range just to do their other duels...very very annoying.

ADD: ANYONE can be annoying though, with very little effort. Hammer pallys, ww-barbs, necros. Put the right jerk behind the controls and every class is potentially annoying as hell. Think of the bow zons who pop out of town to shoot the occassional GA at passing duelers or people going for their body. Very annoying and uniquely a bowazon trait. Also, anyone who can one-hit kill a 3K life opponent is very annoying and representative of a lack of PvP on the synergies.

ADD AGAIN: On further reflection, I change my response. Anyone who uses auto-aim. AA is the single most annoying thing in PvP as far as I'm concerned. Scum-sucking blizzard sorcs with auto-aim come to mind.

9/10 bone necs in ladder do the same thing as the GA zons. Fun to make them think you are afk for a sec and then crush them when they pop out.

I'd have to go with trappers as the most annoying, because you really cannot win against a well equiped one without using Some sort of absorb(most classes at least). And then they just cry about it. This class seems to attract the jerks more than any other because it is so affordable and easy to use(although some are much more skilled then others).

also, i purposely didnt add "w/ engima" in the poll b/c enigma is by far the cheapest armor on bnet. (I know... if i had it.. i wouldnt be complaining though :lol: ) anyway, few ppl on ladder have it and when they duel everyone gets owned. So no one start voting "other" and reply stuff wit enigma.

definately hammerdins. they're basically the same as wind druids, but you can at least TRY resistanecs against the druid. hammerdins just get10 combat charms and enigma and FCR and bam. they teleport and kill most people who arent BO'd in 1 hammer. Most can do it so quickly that traps dont even have time to go off.

cold fire and kicksins are usually completely cool in style and form. Necros are the ultimate puss, but usually not that annoying as they cant TG as effectively as a hammerdin/windy/trapper. I will say that trappers do piss off people, but they sure wouldnt be if Mind Blast wasnt a skill. People just get really upset and aggravated when they are stunned and getting hit and cant move. But hey, it IS a skill...

I agree with the one who said put any jerk behind the controls and it will be annoying:

The worst trapsins are the ones who mb you in the middle of your duel with someoen else, second to that are the ones who tg and nk/ sit behind their traps.

Hammerdins are annoyign when all tehy do is telehammer people or tg the whole entrance with a hammerfield... at least these can be funny when they can't manage to make the hammers go into town and all of the hammers jsut hit the end of the bridge which just sticks out and i nteh end everybody can just pretty much walk out of town safely.

CS zons are annoying in almost everyway. they're bad because the do more damage than smiters and because most of the ones i've met tend to sit in town and either AA lightnign furys at people or just throw blindly and hope to hit somebody's duel.

Nothign against zealots really, but it's annoying when one uber zealot just acts like an *** to everyone around.

Bone necs who just teeth naked people and keep recasting bone armor and teleing are just dumb. Same goes for wind druids, except with cyclone and twister.

Overall i'd say each class has it's own ways of being annoying, but trapsins hammerdins wind druids and bone necs hanve the most potential to be annoying.

good trappers just cant lose to windies... the fhr is a big problem to the druids.

i chose foher or even cs zon cuz i hate having to get my 160 shield then get destoryed by a barb or pally cuz of no dr :)... rotten lighttningers

A tip: Trappers eat windys for lunch. Most (*good*) trappers also have a few points in talon to kill off non-melee absorbers.

I see that mr. FOH got lots of votes. The only reason this happens is because your average pubby hell dueling game is full of characters with negative resistances BEFORE conviction. I just put on a 4 ptopaz shield, tgods and chains of honor and sit there typing to the FOH pally "that tickles".

Trappers are the most annoying to me because of the cheap and defensive nature of the build. Windys, hammersins, necros are very, very strong, but at least they attack generally (tele away and teeth is annoying also). Trappers on the other hand....

I find trappers to be the most annoying. Its possible to be quite annoying even totally unintentionally with them due to the auto targeting nature of traps. Also obvious problem arises:

1) You don't use absorb and you usually get killed easily and swiftly. They then call you a noob.
2) You use absorb and you kill them. (easily if you negate them of course) They then call you a noob.

and hammerdins.. also anoying... but the rich one with enigma usualy are really stupid and tele ontop of me.. The poor one cast walk cast walk.. there the bigger pain...

No build really annoys me but if i had to choose, like just now, id choose either FoHer or Hammerdin. Simply because you cant resist hammers like everything else and hammerdins tend to act as if they are on a high horse.

FoH auto targets and requires no skill to use. You dont even have to click on the target.

(I didnt say necros because even though their attacks arent resistable either, most dont act like their the best duelers ever when they win).

I think the attitudes of people are the most annoying.

I gotta go with... FoHer... ok i know they are not the hardest chars to play, and stack res can beat them, etc. but they are just so annoyin, you just stand there or duel someone else or something and from no where some no skill idiot holds shift+left click and nails you, know aiming or anything, sometimes isn't even on your screen, thats annoying. (no offence to any FoHers with skill, its just the majority in pubs choose FoH because it is easy to use)

I voted for bone necros cause you can do something about trappers/FoHers.

I believe Namelocking is just click & holding on a person, which "locks on" to them and makes their name appear above their head.

We are not alking about wich one is the best char for owning pubbies, just for the most ANNOYING. A foher or hammerdin or even necro with BP can be annoying if they feel like (like everyones else), but really cant disturb the hole crowl of averaged public duelers. Trappers, even the well mannered ones, due to the large range and lack of control of their traps just disturbs everyone who is dueling within a screen radius, even when them doent pretend so.

I second this. The bear doesn't really hurt a good dueler that bad but most of the time they sit in town casting it and spam OMG NOOB OWNED when it kills someone. And if someone laughs at him for staying in town he says "cry?" or some crap. It was almost funny at first but the guy needed an attitude adjustment, headstriker style. :lol:

It's not in the polls but anyone who uses the God Hack (automatic full rejuvs), Auto Aim and other hacks are definitely the most annoying although I just get my necro or hammerdin and commence to smoke them.

One of the mose annoying duelers(which happens to not be on that list) was this one tesladin that killed everyone in the room.

Then while everyones at the entrance naked he sits out there with his holy shock on just laughing sayin GGKKTHNXBUHBYE NOOB. damn i hate those tesladins....

We all decided to run out at once...oh what a mistake that was

once again i must say trapper for the fact that 90% of them set traps and then hide behind them making it impossible for anybody to get close without takin major dmg.Also they are the class i believe that is most prone to nking based on their set and forget attack.But i do agree any class can be annoying but most take at least a minimal effort.Trappers can set their traps forget about them and unintentionallly nk.Combined with mindblast its nearly impossible to get near them without a character with a slight ammount of absorb.

I went for FoH, but only cuz the poll was sort of limited.

What I'm thinking of is the foh pallys who always wear GA/2x Raven/Tgods/Rising Sun, and switch out ravens for wisps or dwarfs depending on who they duel.

Most times, if anyone absorbs their FoH they call them noob. A lot of builds can't afford to switch out their belt, shield, and more just so a FoH pally can't kill them, and still find themselves unable to do damage.

They say cocky stuff like 'I'd kill you one hit without absorb' and then do maybe 1/3 of my life with conviction on, because they don't know how ES works, and call me a god moder.

I duno.

I think its hilarious that FOH is only a few votes behind trapers. Only the seriously unprepared have problems with them. Doesnt matter what build I build - it has enough resist to not have to worry about templars [fohers]. Isnt too hard at all. They arent annoying when you have the resist. Being a long time templar I know that they are the noob killer. Also gets the most **** talking to them

ok I voted for foh cause they always nk me and attack me when i'm in other duels not when because they own me. One thing i hate is when i get nk'ed or 3 on 1 and people say cry.... Ok god moders are pretty *** but can be beaten.... One time I was screwing around with my friends 23k f ball sorc in a pubby. There was an 8k life 95 fire/light res and 75/75 cold psn res god moder barb, that was nk'in and gold stealing and spamming KKPWNEDTHXSAVENEXITNOOB.
At one point he was spamming LOLOLOL while tanking my f balls and his health going to past a little more than halfway. He wasn't laughing anymore when i one hit ko'ed him by dropping a meteor on his *** and proceeded to steal aout 800k off him :thumbsup:

Wind druids, hammedins and boners are the most annoying imo (that's with enigma). If fohdins or trappers annoy me, I'll just put on GA, Tgods and wisp and squelch them.

Smiters with Doom BA aren't nice either...

Yup, almost exactly what I use, except for 30lr jewel in wiz, ptop HOZ, and 35lr rare boots. This covers a -150 conviction, as well as some facets if they are using.

Garbad_the_Weak explained it quite well, but he forgot "Um" Shako and "Um" GA. I also use silence pb against fohdins... and 193% light res Vortex shield. Good luck getting through that with lightning. Let's not forget coh if you can't sacrifice any other part of your equipment for res stacking.

Í am a trapper, but i am however not bad mannered.
I let people go out first, bo up and do whatever.
i DON`T overabsorb or nk, i have totaly legit one source/element absorb.

I NEVER go 2vs1, and if i do i always say that im sorry for it and did´nt know (i did´nt either)

Still, im the victim of MANY BM duelers, using 2xort crown, 1xort GA, 2x wisp, thundergods and 4xort monark.

I say "that is lame, please don´t do that"
And the anwser is: "LOOOOOOOL, damn noob i own you in pvp"
All of these charaters who did this were WWsins.

What can i do vs. them?
Nothing at all, just wait and hope they leave.

Sidenotes:
I asked one guy to show me his stuff and thats how i know what he was using.
I am always polite to people, i never flame them or steal gold.
I am moderatly aggressive with trapping and i do MB a lot but i don´t use it all the time, just vs. people who tele/run/chicken such as: fireball sorc, blizzard sorc, thrower barb, necro, cowardly hammerdins (charge+hammerfield) and trapsins.
And im not english, but even if someone speaks my native tounge i don´t use it with him as i think it´s lame towards others in the game.

So i say:
The most annoying char ever to set foot on b.net realms is.....
Massabsorbers.

I've stripped my wind druid, it was just plain lame. (Although, I once got my *** kicked by a light sorc. It made me wonder.)

I wish I could've voted for both. :(

I agree on the mind blast. Might as well be killing me while I am afk.

Cyclone does NOTHING to stop a good sorc. One 20k fb breaks it. One blizz hit breaks it. One lightning hit can break it AND kill you.

one thing thats real annoying and getting more and more common is that when u try low lvl dueling in norm (around lvl 20 and stuff) u see these chars below lvl 9 and just stand outsided and wait for someone to die and take their gold. I mean that is not only wrong but totally unfair b/c theres nothing u can do to get them back.

it's the second oldest profession, after prostitution

it gets annoying, but you can always change locations if it's bad enough

at the same time I've seen low lvls that just watch without stealing, which I did in the past when I had been gone for a long time and wanted a look at how dueling had changed

As far as i'm concerned, it's not the build that's annoying, it's the people behind them. I don't care if you have a trapsin-foh-windnecro-laser thingy, as long as you show respect and are a good mannered dueler. I can be beaten every time and enjoy myself if against someone who is truly a good sport and has manners. The problem is that in general, all of the people who use those builds are complete a$$holes, who will stop at nothing to spam annoying bull---- at you.

I don't know which realm u play on bud but FOHers are rampant on Uswest sc nl. I always pop a 4 topaz shield in my stash with a tgods and a few + 11% lightning resist small charms in my inventory. Just in case a Foher comes in and starts spoiling everyones fun.

You probaly know this already but a Foh pally takes 150% plus off your resistance. SO your 95% becomes minus 55 %. SO a very average 3600 dmg Foh / 6 pvp penalty=600 dmg + 330 hp bonus for -55 % resist. Nasty buggers...
