Noobie Weapon: What to get?

Right now I"m using a War axe that has 1-9 lightning damage. I'm level 28 -_-
Should I just stick with it? Or is there an easy-to-make runeword or something else I could look for..

I just don't understand how to get rich, or how to get good items ._.

But anyways.. any suggestions of runewords/weapons I could ask around to trade for?

Steel (Tir+El) - Axes/swords/maces<---(a flail would be nice)
Malice (Ith+El+Eth) - any weapon
Strenght (Amn+Tir) - any weapon
King's Grace<-My favourite (Amn+Ral+Thul) - Swords/Scepters

Get 5 pgems and you can trade for a good weapon on the trade forums.

Hey, Rizzy.

For barb weapons you need to look for 2 things: damage and attack speed, in that order. Anything else is gravy. Other nice mods are ignore target's defense, life/mana steal, boosts to attack rating, and elemental damage (especially cold early on).

Cruise around the item lists on diabloii.net and see what fits your age/stats. A decent rare is workable, too, early on. Or the cheap runewords that Pucho mentioned.

Honor is a solid one you can use now but you'd need those two decent runes for it, and a 5 socket weap

Butcher's pupil is also a good choice, and you could probably get with 5 pgems. What realm/ladder/core is this?
