OK, since no one is watch, let alone responding to my post in the barb forum, I'll double post here, cause I really need some help.
Please help Diagnosis
[L SC USE]
I am still building/experimenting my countess running frenzy barb, just got into hell and die a few times, not unexpected. I need some input on stat/skill placement and gear. Here is his statistics:
Level:67
S:147
D:122
V:50(base vital + equipment)
E:10
Unspend:159
AR:9K
DR:5.5K
Life:1172 after BO
FR:5
CR:-16
LR:-17
PR:23
Equipment:
Angelic ammy + 2 Angelic ring
Shaft
Rare Horned helm +2 skill +28LR +39Life
Scarabshell boot
Sigon's glove $ belt
Weapon: bloonmoon/Black Tyrant club
Weapon switch: echoing/Life tap wand
Charms:
+55life
+12max dam
+30FR
+29CR
Skill:
Warcries:
BO max
Shout max
BC 1 point
Masteries:
Ironskill 1
Natural Res 1
Stamina 1
Speed 2
Sword 1
Combat skill:
Double swing 4
Frenzy max
The idea of this build it run super fast and teleport with a staff to get to countess as fast as possible.
Here are some hard decisions to make and I need your advice:
1. I plan to use cat eye's for FWR but then I'll lost all my AR boast, points in Dex can never make up for it and I want to reserve more points in Vital. What choice do I have?
2. Where to spent my skill points as I keep leveling up. Between sword master and synergies of Frenzy(taunt/doubleswing) I haven't made up my mind. Sword mastery give me less dmg boast but help in AR, and it fit my end game sword (upped Crainte Vomir Unique Espandon x2, 50% IAS, Slows 35%,
20% FRW, PDR10% each, upped 1H dmg around 106 avg), Taunt/doubleswing give more damage but thats it.
3. I'm low on resist obviously, I'm thinking of the less expensive choice of smoke (+70%def, +50resall) or the more expensive one Gloom (+200-260%def, +45resall). I got lum, fal, pul, but not um.
4. I don't have CBF now, which slot should I put it in?
5. Merc choice: I am using Act2 Might, will Act2 HF be better and safer by giving me more time and space to run around?
6. I'm trying to gamble a +2 skill +30FRW Tiara, find a Mav's belt for it's +20 FRW, switch to some good +40FRW boot(which is better for my built?) to boast my FRW to +160.(weapon:20x2, belt20, boot40, ammy30, helm30) But at the same time I have to take into account of FHR and FCR since most of the time I'm playing a big fat sorc role of teleporting around. Where is the optimum?
Any advice/comment is welcome. I've got a mep running char to find items for me. I don't trade, not even with people on this forum, I use what I found, so please don't tell me to find uber items and trade for an engima.
Thanks
your lvl is much to low to be in hell. at least 70 for a twinked char... in my oppinion...
your itams are not... that good... may a recomned a sheild

shield kind of wreaks havoc with the 20 points into frenzy

Thanks for trying to help.
I'm a frenzy barb so I can't have a shield.
I just put 100 points in Vitality so I have about 2K life now with BO
Could anyone answer the 6 questions specifically?

ok
1-forget cats eye, the r/w isn't worth it in the least
2-sword mastery gives you yout sought after AR, max that
3-smoke would work alright
4-don't need 2x angelic rings, just level up to increase you chance to hit and replace one of them with ravenfrost
5-holy freeze will probably be safer, provided he has time enough to get his aura activated during your quick run
6-I spose you could always throw a few points to increased speed instead of using junk r/w items, but I really don't see the big deal about getting that much r/w perhaps I am missing the point of your build, you'll be fast, do you really need to make gear sacrifices to be slightly faster?

Thanks very much for that. It's a very concise and well informed, to the point answer. You solution to the AR and CBF problem is especially enlightening.

I know FRW from skill work better than FRW from items, but with frenzy maxed, I still find some downtime between monster groups, which make me crawling. I've also notice increased speed skill diminish very fast so I guess 1 point with +skill bonus should be alright. I just want to be faster to get to Countess, and his job is just to kill countess, not to conduct a genocide in act 4,5. May be if he has success in Countess, I'll make him run pits or mep. For the time being, I need to find him more resist charm to make up for what is lacked in the gear.
BTW, are you the ash whom everyone make fun of? Cause I find you a nice guy and dont' get the joke about you.
, I'll double post here,
Thanks
Just because no one responded in the barb forum or here right away is no excuse to double post.
In addition, posting the same thread asking the same question in more than forum is spam.
I am tempted to close the thread because it is titled as an advertisement.

I don't know how to respond to that, and aragorn is right, I would've gotten to the thread in the barb forum, I did in fact, but you didn't seem to be checking it so I posted here as well, but don't double post or advertise a post, it should all get taken care of in due time without the creation of extraneous posts

My apology....
I have a couple of questions for you, and maybe some helpful answers as well. And the numbers I'm using don't correspond to the ones you used, just so you know:
1. Why are you planning on using Cranite Vomir as your endgame sword? If it's a matter of cost, I can understand that, but for only a little more, you could get Crescent Moon swords that work very well for the Frenzy build. Regardless of what you end up using as your sword, only put points into one mastery, and definitely max that mastery. As Ash said, it'll solve at least some of your AR problems and it's a waste to spread points out over more than one weapon type.
2. Why is your dex at 122 now? Is that for requirements on your gear, or is it an attempt to raise your AR? If it's for requirements, that's fine. Just don't put any more points in Dex than you'll need to hold your gear. The amount it increases your AR is incredibly small and you'd be much better off using the Angelic Combo (as you already are) or using AR charms if you really needed it.
3. Why such an emphasis on FRW? I think both Ash and you addressed this, but it seems that you're sacrificing way too much in terms of gear to get only marginally faster. You're probably better off having an average to good amount of FRW and having better overall gear to keep you from dying. After all, nothing will slow down your quick runs like dying.
Hope that helped at least a little.

Also, you really seemed so eager that you couldn't wait more than 1 hour to bump yourself. Honestly, have some patience and remember that we have lives too.

My apology again.
As to the emphasis in FRW, it's an experiment to see if barb can be better in terms of speed and safety in Countess run than sorc. The advantage of barb:
1) barb cast as fast as sorc;
2) barb recover much faster than sorc;
3) barb has much better defence;
4) you can tele with a staff even if you got mana burned;
5) tele with a staff is affordable [about 2k gold per charge (level 4), I'm looking for a level 1, it should be cheaper per charge]
I attribute my dying to the relative low level of my character, unspent spare stat points, and most importantly lack of resist. I've made myself a smoke armor with about 800def which put me in a much better position. I'll switch to a Gloom if I can find myself a um, or I'll try using upped Magi if I can find one. A few more res charm will fill up the gap.
As for my merc, I'll take Ash's advice to try out a NM Act2 HF, but it takes time to level a new merc. I'd better do it earlier.
Thanks for not closing this thread, I'll keep reporting my progress.

this post is unnecessary, this was already pointed out and he has already apologised
and I still don't think you need all that frw, you can teleport and run fast, not every item you pick needs frw when you could either boost mf/gf or survivability
