Any ideas for Berserk barb?

Ya, Grandar is right, Radu's guide is really good. The Berserk Barb is really worthwhile.. (then again, I love barbs and find pretty much any of them worthwhile) and it is extremely viable, if you take into consideration that you'll be running around with zero defense most of the time and you compensate for that. Radu's guide lay's this all out very clearly. I was going to make my latest barb into a zerker, but once I had leveled him up to 58, (and saved all points except pre-req's) I decided to go frenzy barb instead .. so I guess my next barb will be a pure zerker. :)

berserk is a great skill because you can make a pure berserk or a hybrid berserker with any setup in the game.

you can make a weapon/shield conc barb with maxed BO, shout, conc and berserk, which gives you a high damage conc and a high damage berserk.

you can make a berserk/WW character with a 2 handed weapon, with maxed BO, WW, berserk, and then points in war cry, mastery, or shout, your choice.

you can make a frenzy/berserk character with maxed BO, frenzy and berserk, with extra points in warcry, shout or mastery. with this one, although berserk only works one handed, you can use a very strong and slow weapon because the frenzy will speed up the attack greatly when charged.

the point of the hybridization of a berserk character is that it is often not safe to use berserk, so if you have another attack, such as a maxed conc frenzy or WW, you can use that to deal out physical damage with greater caution. berserk kills faster than any other attack in hell though, because of the type of damage it deals.

a pure berserker could use maxed berserk, shout and howl for maximum berserk damage, then max BO in addition, with extra points in mastery and warcry. most people will tell you you HAVE to use a shield, but you really dont. in fact i would recommend against a shield because you are better off having high life and low strength/dex.

Conc/BO/Shout/Mastery

I figure once I level enough I'll add in Berserk.
