Given up on dueling

Yeah I'm sick of this, in about 10 pubby games 9 of them had like 3 people using some sort of hack (ias/fcr one, mass flashing that stops you from locking anything, matrix rejuv, whatever). Hey blizz stop sucking this dueling is worse than 09. I'm gonna go email blizzard just because I have nothing better to do because THE REALMS DOWN..... God you suck bnet.

I've been mostly a hardcore player my entire time during D2, however just recently I've gotten back into softcore a bit, and it just baffles me that people feel the need to cheat in dueling on softcore, it really does. I'd just really like to know WHY they feel the need to cheat when there is nothing at stake for them to lose other than there pride, but then again, if you have to resort to using hacks on softcore you never had any pride to begin with.

This kind of stuff doesn't even come close to those Ith Zons back in .09. They were a nightmare. It ain't that bad, god I wish people would stop botting though. The lag is what pisses me off.

It appears Blizzard have done something about botting and reducing the wait time.

We have recently received some inquiries regarding instances of longer-than-normal wait times for starting games of Diablo II on Battle.net. The extended wait times were a result of certain player-made bots that were used to create game after game of Diablo II in rapid succession. We have now implemented a change that will lessen this type of bot abuse; this should significantly improve wait times for everyone.

yeh i have came across countless amas,barbsnecs with some hack which immeadiately boosts their health when thet hurt it makes them invinsible i think ill go play anbother game! cephas is that u? ur pretty hot!

eww this isnt the "Dating forums", take that to Player Matchup lol. anyway, yeah yesterday i went doen to like an instant 350 in line!!! but then it took FOREVER to go down. More condensed lag i guess.

and why do people on the bnet forums seem like all 12 year old idiots? like every thread i've seen gets replies like "*hugzzzzz*" etc. lol.

If I were blizzard I would do the same thing. Every time blizzard tries to do something, people find a way around it. Some people make some money off of the hacks they provide to the d2 world, and blizzard can not stop them all. It is obviously a wild goose chase, and blizzard seems to have given up. I have not heard one report of anyone being banned from botting or the use of mh so far, only easily noticed ones can be dealt with. All I know is appreciate the way dueling is now, because I can guarantee that it will only get worse and worse.

Just to let you know, if you manually are doing runs you can still be tagged and be unable to enter games. Try doing about 20 pindle runs at 30 seconds a piece, see how long it takes before you can't join games temporarily. I've been running Trav then Pindle just to tack on a little time to my games to avoid this.

You may have very well been accusing someone of hacks that was legit.

Also if you get connection interrputed, you might not be able to join games for about 10mins. Better get facts right before accusing someone hacker.

Yea they did. They made the wait times much shorter however there was a bug in their program and it allowed non ladder characters to mule with ladder characters. Now the ladder realms are flooded with 3/20/20's and sojs.

I saw this on the diablo II general discussion forum on another website. They think that ladder will be getting a roll back as well to fix this....

You do not get temp banned from using hacks or botting, if they actually catch you I'm pretty sure you would be banned...Blizz just cant find em or arent trying.

well, about them not trying, there not actually in a position to put forth all there efforts, as you can see they ARE trying with the resources they have, you have to remember dang near half the people left blizz that worked there, so I'm pretty sure there doing all they can at the moment.
